You know, I wouldn't put it past SJM to have Aelin die in some heroic way, saving the world. THAT would kill me.
I kinda feel like its gonna be Aedion... or Dorian that dies.... There was one point in EoS where Dorian said something along the lines of "Its not such a hard thing to die for your friends, is it?" to Rowan. And that has been wracking my nerves since I read that sentence.
I agree. I feel like its gonna be Aedion and/or Dorian and/or Gavriel.... And I think seeing happy people will be painful no matter what.
Yes i think so, but i dont mind if it will come earlier lol.I think dorian will die in order to forge the lock, but then who will rule adarlan ? Hollin ? Woo, Wait why cant hollin die since he's descended from Brannon's line?? The problem would be solved.
What if Aelin and dorian forge the lock together? What do you think will happen?
Actually, I don't think that will work. I doubt that Dorian or Aelin would sacrifice Hollin so they could live. The only way that's happening is if Hollin is willing, but Hollin's a jerk so I'm doubting that too. Maybe he'll have a character arc?
They better put me in a coma until the book comes out
I think the compendium comes out after ToG#6 so that we aren't spoiled or anything.
So guys I was rereading The Assassins Blade recently and I noticed something that might be important, even if it's a stretchSo remember that merchant that gave Celaena the patch of spider silk? He also asked her to slay the spiders to break the spell, and guess what happens in HoF. Manon kills the Stygian Spiders, and before she does, the spiders mention the merchant and say he is a former shapeshifter. So yeah it's kind of a stretch but what if that's important because why else would the spiders happen to mention him if sjm didn't have some sort of plan around that

Yeah I've been theorizing about him too and it's not a stretch at all.
I don't think he could be Lysandra's father because he said he was in his mid 20s or around there. I can't remember. Then again, he could have been lying or he could just be another shape-shifter(maybe another living relative).
So because Manon killed the Stygian spiders, the merchant gets 20 years of his life back. And his shape-shifting powers have returned thanks to the gang unleashing magic.
So right now, we have an experienced shape-shifter with a possible supply of spider silk, who could potentially be Lysandra's father/relative, help out a certain court resue Aelin, aid Lysandra if needed, and/or win the war wandering around the contintent/in hiding/searching for Celaena Sardothien.
Great.

These are all great theories, but there seems to be one plot hole no one is talking about. What is Maeve actually going to do to Aelin? Torture her in some way so that she tells Maeve about her plans? Or just lock her in a dungeon? And of course, that brings the question, where is she going to take her? Mistward seems too predictable, but it is the most likely place.

I really hope Luca and the rest of the Demi Fae make at least some sort of an appearance, maybe they might be involved in Aelins rescue/escape? I really hope so. If Aelin is taken back to Wendlyn or Mistward or wherever, they should be mentioned ^-^
Yeah, whatever did happen to Luca and Emrys? Shouldn't they still be at Mistward? Also, to be honest, Cairn is scaring me almost as much as Maeve at this point. He could do some really bad things to Aelin at Maeve's command. I remember seeing a post on Tumblr a few months ago that said something along the lines of: What if Maeve forces Aelin to stay in the bedroom she shared with Rowan in heir of fire? I don't know but that would break us beyond repair. It would be clever of Sarah though.
That would break me almost as much as it would break Aelin but like a thought that's always in the back of my mind is like what if Cairn tries to abuse her or something cause Rowan and the others in the cadre have hinted (I think) at what Cairn does with women but awh I'm sooo scared
Oh my gods. I sincerely hope Cairn and Maeve are in shreds by the end.
Also, I just realized that Maeve is the Umbridge of the ToG fandom. We loath her more than the main villain. She enjoys torturing people. And she may have an animal fetish thing, like Umbridge and her cats. (I joke. But no, they are really similar.)

I sincerely hope that by the end of the book Aelin gets to tear Maeve apart and Rowan and Aedion get to tear Cairn apart. Viciously. Over a number of days, weeks, maybe even months.

I think it's interesting how no one ever thinks about Chaol dying. I know that it seems unreasonable, with the novella coming out, but I'm always thinking like what if Sarah expects us to think he lives all while she's cackling behind her laptop? Lol I know it's far fetched, but still. What if when he comes back, brings his army, and then kind of stops being so tense and stuff around Aelin, and ends up dying for her in a heroic way? It's just a thought but I'd love to hear other comments. AND I'm totally avoiding the fact that Sarah could kill Rowan. Who else is Team Rowan??
I actually never thought about Chaol dying. I guess because of his absence in EoS, I forgot about him.
Okay so we have three heirs as main characters. Dorian, Aelin, and Manon. Aelin can go rule her own country, but what about Dorian and Manon? If they do end up together, how do they rule both the Witch Kingdom and Adarlan at the same time? I'm thinking that if Hollin turns out to be not so bad, Dorian's going to ditch his claim to the throne and rule with Manon.
I don't know I'd kinda love it if Dorian became a badass ice king with a warm heart you know like a male Elsa

I'm pretty sure Manon is immortal now that the magic is back. They were before because she is hundreds of years old

Another thought to consider is who is going to sacrifice themselves? Because while yes it is pointing to Aelin at the moment, Dorian could do it too, or if Hollin makes an appearance he too could to it. I'm guiltily hoping someone is sacrificed though, because it would seem a bit cliche if the curse were somehow broken, unless there is a very very good loophole in the curse, then I might accept it. But otherwise, I'm curious to see who will sacrifice themselves.
I really think Hollin is going to have a major role. His character wasn't even there in Queen of Glass and it wouldn't make sense to add a whole new character in the story just so he could be a pain the arse. So I'm guessing Sarah has something planned for him.
Wait where does it say that Dorian is immortal?
Remember when Elena said that Dorian and Aelin's magic are two sides of the same coin? Well I think Dorian is going to give up his life to create the lock. Also I don't think Manon and Dorian are really together I think that it was just lust. And when Dorian gives up his life Manon will realize she loves him and will go on to be the Queen of Crochens. Holin will be king of Adarlan with Aelin helping his and watching over him as Dorian's final wish. Holin will change BC of the death of his brother and Manon will assist him as well.Chaol will live BC why would she just bring him back in Book 6 and in the novella just to kill him off? He and Nesryn will stay together but not as lovers as companions. Lorcan will find forgiveness from Elide and they will relize they are mates also Lysandra and Aedion will become close but something will happened to Aedion and 1) He will either be killed sparking Aelin into loosing control and destroying all of Erwans forces 2) He gets very injured and nearly dies sparking Aelin to move quickly and destroy Erwan.
Once Rowan get Aelin back from Meave together they will destroy Meave and her forces then join back up with the others and just then they'll get attacked my Erwan and Chaol and Nesryn will show up and save their asses like Sarah said in the interview with Jessie the reader
Also no one isa immortal in this series.Aelin will settle in a few years and she will live a REALLY long life BC she is Fae but she can be killed.
Rowan is a fae he will live a REALLY long life but he can be killed.
Aedion is part fae but its very faint so he will just live a little longer than a normal human would.
Lysandra will live as long as the skin she wears lives. So basically she can live as long as fae but she can be killed.
Dorian is human with small pieces of fae here and there but he will live a normal human life and die when he gets old.
Manon is a witch so she will live a long life longer than a fae but she can be killed.
Lorcan is a fae so he will live a REALLY long life but again he can be killed.
Elide is part witch so she'll live longer than a normal human.
and Gavriel and Fenrys are both Full fae so they'll live long lives as Rowan will

Guys, this is unrelated to the current topic, but when my family saw "Santa" this year, I was forced to go tell him what I wanted. (I'm 14, think I've outgrown that, but apparently not) So I asked him for all my favorite fictional characters to live. So here's hoping.
Everyone please open your arms to embrace and include me into this circle of pure suffering. For I have finished Empire of storms. And I am completely dreading the next 9 months... that's like a whole pregnancy! And more miserable.. TOG 6 IS MY BABYCHILD THAT WILL COME IN SEPTEMBER.
Could someone give me a lost of all the other little books etc that are toed to this series? BC I knew of some of them but you are mentioning others I do not know.
Have you read Assassin's Blade? If not, it's the prequel.
