So, you found some plot holes in Terminated? Funny story - my husband hasn't read the book, but after I told him about it, he told everyone at work about it. He works for a pharma company and they all thought it was hilarious.

Lol! The pharmaceutical industry don't have a good rep in books and movies. It would be interesting to get his take on it.
Yes, I would have liked some closure on Mercer and Fast Freddy. Alos, the info on Bryn and Annie's family seemed to come out of nowhere. Maybe it was hinted at in the first book but I can't remember.

Yes, and Lora Leigh's Breeds series is the same.

Eileen Wilks' World of the Lupi series is one of those hidden gems of the urban fantasy genre. So many people have not heard of this fantastic little series and it's kind of sad that they haven't. If you enjoy urban fantasy and love your werewolves, dragons, and other paranormal creatures, this series should be on your to-read list right away. Don't start with this book - the first book is called Tempting Danger and this is a series that MUST be read in order.
This is a wonderful series, well written, and it has an amazing diversity of characters. Our lead character Lily Yu is of Chinese descent, which gives the story an interesting back story, especially when her grandmother gets involved. Lily is a touch sensitive. She has the ability to sense others' magical gifts. Her love interest Rule Turner is a werewolf, second in command to his father. These two are wonderful together and it has been quite the trip watching their relationship develop from "Chosen" to lovers.
There is also a diversity of magical creatures. The dragons who are stationed in large metropolitan areas siphon off excess magic and communicate telepathically with Lily and others who can mind speak. In this installment of the series, there was a very cute little troop of Brownies (not the kind that sell cookies). There were also some pretty imposing earth elementals.
I'm enjoying this series immensely and can't wait to read the next book!

Really enjoy this series and the third book didn't disappoint. The time is fast approaching for Jared to fulfill his role as heir and will he accept the position as leader of the vampires? Unfortunately Jared, Sam and the squad must face some big challenges along the way. This series has a twist on the traditional vampire tales which I find refreshing. Vamps are stereotyped and judged by the three classes: Pagori which are strong and dominant, the Keja which are beautiful but deadly and the Svente which are considered the weakest and most human like. Each vampire develops a gift or talent when turned and some are used as weapons. These roles and gifts lead to prejudices, fights and some creative sexing... Dominant alpha males, tough chicas that you really don't want to mess with along with dark humor and vamps that enjoy killing their enemies, add up to a pretty good series.

It's like one of the best kept secrets of UF.

Ditto! It's one of my new release "must reads". Stalking the October calendar for the next one...
Starting my 4 day weekend, which means 4 days of chillin' by the campfire and reading... So excited to have time with Sabina and her crew and finishing the series... If I can't get a signal, I will post my Demon review on Monday.

Oh, it is. I hope you enjoy it.

What an entertaining paranormal mystery! I've heard this series recommended over and over again and so once the book dropped down in price, I snapped it up. Can I also say how cute the shoes are on the cover. I love skulls. But I digress...
So We have Charley our resident reaper who is also a private investigator. That kinda makes sense especially if you are the person that helps people move on after dying from violent crimes.
Charley is snarky. She is awesome and awkward too. I loved moments when she would talk to the ghosts and other people would be around and then she'd have to play it off.
I liked the underlying mystery in the story as well. Clearing a convicted murderer of a crime he didn't commit. I really enjoyed that aspect because it gave the story substance. It wasn't just fluff.
The romantic side of things had some pretty hot moments. Phantom lovers have a tendency to get to the point with things haha.
I'm definitely continuing this series!

I was the same. I had to go to almost the end of the lists to find one.

This is the fifth and final book in the Sabina Kane series. Wonderful wrap up for very good series. Departing New Orleans to hunt down Abel, Sabina and crew are headed to Italy for a final shot at taking down the big bad Cain. Sabina gets several surprise reunions and what felt like a dark realm game of survivor memory lane. This drug a little in the middle for me, but after meeting "Abel" the story took off. Love her team of Adam and Giguhl. Great ending with yet another epic battle and an even better epilogue that gives the series closure.

and after a VERY long day in the car in holiday traffic, I'm almost halfway through my shifter book,

It's 9pm here and we just got home, so I will try to get my free space review posted tomorrow. We left out at 8:30 am this morning but hit terrible traffic getting home. Normally it is a 9 hour drive so it was a bit long today :)

Luckily only encountered traffic, no other problems (besides impatient kids :D).

Descended from Jason and the witch Medea, Demetrius is the darkest and most secretive of the Argonauts. As a result of his secrets, Demetrius has built barriers between himself and others, especially Isadora, heiress to the throne of Argolea and his soul mate. But now circumstances have thrown Demetrius and Isadora together and they will have to overcome their differences if they are to survive the perils to come.
After a difficult start, this series is finally making strides and living up to its captivating mythology.
At the beginning of the series, Isadora was nothing more than a spoiled and pampered princess whose submissiveness inevitably resulted in the image of a weak and ineffectual woman who would be nothing more than a political pawn once she gained the throne. All of this changes in Tempted as Isadora finally comes into her own, growing both in confidence and power as the story progresses. My one small nitpick is she tends to spend much of her time, especially in the first few chapters, unconscious or sleeping while the action goes on around her.
Demetrius is the epitome of the grim, glowering and enigmatic hero whose internal conflict results in his distancing himself from those he needs the most. The twists and turns on his path toward confronting his personal demons makes for exciting reading and the last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat.
While the focus of the book is on Demetrius and Isadora’s engaging love/hate relationship, there are also some developments in the ongoing storyline pertaining to the Orb of Kronus and it will be interesting to see where Naughton takes this as the series continues.

Thanks, Heather. I'm probably going with

This book was Graham's story. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it since I really didn't like him in the previous book or two, but it turned out really good. Graham previously hated humans. When he met Misty in a previous book, he was intrigued by the human. When the two of them get tangled up in fae drama, it made for a great story.

I have had this book on by tbr list for a very long time. When it came to the first book I put off reading it forever because so many people loved it, I didn't think I could ever love it as much as the reviews built it up. Then, in the story, I really didn't like Tricks that much, and didn't think the second book could live up to the first, so again I put off reading yet another installment of this series. I don't know why though because I ended up really enjoying this one too. Tricks, or Niniane, at the beginning is trying to survive after an assassination attempt in Chicago. Tiago, back in New York, already does not understand why he missing the faerie. When he sees the video of the attempt, he immediately heads to Chicago to find her. The two of them work together to find the traitor in her ranks, trying to succeed before her coronation.

Review:
The Moon Ghost jaguars Acat and Chaob are on a bride hunt and catch the scent of their destined mate, Carlie. Carlie is an American conducting research in the jungle and abducted from her tent by these two warriors who refuse to communicate with her, drug her and carry her off to a jungle "bride hut" to battle other warriors from their tribe for the right to mate her. I was looking for a fun light read and this one was a little much on the alpha overload side. Her sister also came to the jungle looking for her missing sister, which sadly was the previous book Human and Freakn' #4, which I read and could not recall at all. I usually enjoy EL books, but this one was heavy on the male dominance and the compromise and resolution came later than I would have liked. But the alpha heroes are hot and lots of smexy scenes, so those elements always make it better... And it had giant spiders, arghhh...

I should finish my shifters book tonight. It's been a hectic week. It's been a while since I read only 1 book in a week.
Have you guys checked out Armchair BEA? Yesterday was giveaway day and there's lots of stuff being given away on the participating blogs. /end shameless plug.

I guessed. LOL.
Sounds like the spiders on Dr Who .....

I'm 20% into my shifter book and it is not speaking to me *sigh*. I'll try another few chapters but might have to switch it out for something else.

Wild Cat was also on your list and it was a good one...
