Two walks today, but mostly (7 hours) working in the garden, my wife planting, potting, of course, I do the heavy work, digging, weeding, planting.

Tired, legs and back and shoulders hurt.

Well today, had another go and making a soup.

In my Vitamix, just add everythying into the Vitamix, and it blends it and heats it, ready to eat in 6 minutes.

Thai Ginger soup

2 Cups of Filtered water
1/4 Capsicum Chilli pepper
2 spring onions
1 celery
1 yellow button squash
1/4 lemon with skin
1 carrot
1 apple
2 large handfuls of cashews nuts
1 or 2 slices of ginger
1 clove of Garlic
3/4 pieces of Coriander
3/4 pieces of cabbage
I vegetable stock cube
1 slice of Lime

and blend and heat. Lovely it was !

Yes was quite mild.

Vitamix is brilliant.

Just add the ingredients, and blend for 6 minutes.

It blends it and heats it.

Ready to eat straight away.

I think more ginger, garlic and chillies.

It is good when you know what you have put in, amazing, that I put in as per menu, the lemon and lime with skin.

Blueberry bush.

Loads of washing and drying.

Then as usual, all washing outside, starts to rain, all back in.

Gardening just in time again, this week.

0814 Thursday. I believe I have found a bit of readers paradise! My patio opens on a quiet preserve-- the only sounds are the breeze in the trees, the singing birds, and the music of the wind chime. Every morning now I sit from dawn until 0900, drink my tea, smoke my pipe, and read. I feel truly blessed.

That sounds absolutely amazing!! I like to do that when we are at the beach. My internal clock gets me up at around 6:30 in the morning no matter what time I went to bed or what is going on in life and like to sit on the balcony watch the ocean, drink coffee and read my book until a kid or husband interrupts me.

Taken some holidays this week, as here Monday, public holiday but also Wednesday here in Jersey, so took Thursday and Friday off.

Wife is still off sick, so nice to take her out for lunch, drive, garden centres, work in the garden, shopping.

For me nice to watch the tennis in Madrid !

And play tennis.

Also had my lady come around for a two hour massage, a real treat for me and my old body, can only afford 3-4 times a year.
