16:30 having a lazy day at home as my little girl isn't well. I discovered she has been ill and without her asthma inhaler since Friday which her father didn't feel the need to tell me about!

20.42pm,i am messing about on my kindle while my hubby is working out how to use his new phone which is one of his Anniversary presents.Its our 25th wedding anniversary tomorrow and he has a week off work so we are just chilling.It would be a good week if i was not suffering from the flu and have got a very sore throat.
Happy Anniversary, Nicki! Saturday the 1st would've been my parents' 51st wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, my father died of cancer (hate it!) in August of 2013.It is 12:50 pm right now. It is hazy outside due to the wildfire in Lake Chelan in Idaho.
I'm eating a salad, going through my g-Mail, and listening to Tchaikovsky's The Queen of Spades on BBC Radio 3.
Thanks Kirsten.Sorry to hear about your dad,my dad passed away in January 1996.He was a bus driver and a lorry went into his bus,he only had two broken legs but he also had emphysema and the hospital operated on the wrong lung,there were a number of other mistakes and he died in hospital.I still miss him.

I had heard it was in Idaho. However, now we have a new one outside of Walla Walla. Between all the wildfires and hearing that the rivers are too hot for the steelhead and the sockeye salmon, it makes me mad that our leaders keep on saying there's no such thing as climate change.

Don't ask! I am no longer banned from consuming rice, rice pudding, tapioca pudding, steel cut oats, popcorn or corn on the cob.
It is 5 o'clock and I am catching up on Goodreads. I was able to catch up on a few things around the house and finished two books. I need to get busy reading because I have book club coming up next Monday but haven't read my book yet.
It is 4:33 p.m. Just got finished being disgusted my Seattle Mariners. They lost their game in 11 innings. (I swear every time they put Fernando Rodney in, I get an ulcer.)Now, I'm tuned into WFMT on-line (out of Chicago) listening to the Grant Park Music Festival playing some good classical music. Am reading Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr.
It's 9:35 am. Our electricity just went out for the next 6 hours for scheduled maintenance. Got my coffee made and my kindle charged. Sounds like it's going to be a great day!!

1:13 pm: kid is off all day with his buddy--last weekend before school starts (I can't wait). Hoping to go the bookstore with my wife so I can get her a birthday book with my birthday gift card. I get much more pleasure buying her books than myself. I prefer the library-don't have to figure out what to do with the book when you've finished it. And having a two to three week deadline focuses my reading.
My husband and I just got home from lunch with a friend at Outback. Caught up on all the gossip.
