I can't. I don't get paid again until June 1st. Rent is US$410 and I also have to pay approx. US $145 for my dental cleaning. That's US$555 out of a Supplemental Security Income check of US$733 and I still have to pay my power bill out of what's left of that and pay for a cab when I go home from the grocery store since I can't afford a car of my own.
You'd think that the old-fashioned Princess Leia cinnamon bun style headphones would be CHEAPER than the earbud style simply by virtue of being old-fashioned, but noooooooooooooooooo...it's more expensive. Idiocy... .
12:OO noon: and trying not to decided to use my bank issued debit card to buy a pair of earbuds because it'll net me a $23 overdraft charge.
It is 3:48PM CST and I am checking e-mail, reading my messages on Goodreads and changing my Goodreads profile picture to a photo of my recently graduated daughter holding her son (my grandson) at her High School graduation last Saturday.
Congratulations to you and your daughter on her graduation Jeffrey :) 22:05 I'm sitting in my front yard with a glass of wine, the radio on and reading my Kindle while intermittently sorting out plans by text to stay with my friends on the coast in July and just generally enjoying the warm night. Bliss!
6:56 p.m. Just covered our red raspberry patch. We have a frost warning for tonight. C'mon, Mother Nature, give us a break already!
Brenda wrote: "9:45 a.m. Just got off the phone with Directv after getting a discount on my package. Hurray!"Good for you. DirectTV is a good company for that. Just a FYI…if they gave you a free movie channel for a few months "they do not" automatically shut it off anymore. You must call before your time is up.

7:08 am. Almost time to get ready to pick up my granddaughter. We are going to yard sales, her favorite antique store, and of course the library. Then back home so she can spend the night. I many try to persuade her to help me wash the car, lol. She's a good kid.
Sophie wrote: "13:00 just had lunch of sausage and egg on toast and catching up on my recorded programmes on TV"Sausage, poached egg, baked beans on toast - I love it!
Having it tomorrow morning.
1219 south florida. watering the grass with a hose. our sprinkler system is all messed up. tomatoe plants are fruiting out.
11:22 AM Wading through my emails and contemplating what a headache it's gonna be when I get back online n Tuesday!

It is tentatively titled "There's a Mouse in the House!" and it is a toddlers rhyming picture book about a family that has a mouse in the house and how they all react to it.
Happy birthday Faouzia!
Faouzia wrote: "17:10 was celebrating my birthday with my two best friends. It was fun :)"Happy Birthday Faouzia! I hope you had your best day ever!
2217 CST and I am just now getting around to fxing supper; macaroni shells and cheese. Been a long day!
Happy birthday, all the best Faouzia.
I have been adding more pictures to my home page, so I can change my profile picture.
Now is a picture I took on one beach in Jersey at sunset

18:37 Getting ready to leave work (hurrah) and enjoy the next two days at home in (I hope) the sunshine
Nice picture Sean.Enjoy your days off Sophie - I hope your days are filled with sunshine 8:D
Amber, I know exactly what you mean.
E - I love storms!
Day chef off today so I am it. I hope she is feeling better tomorrow. Lots of winter bugs doing the rounds at the moment. But we have a lovely sunny day, warm if you can find a spot out of the wind. Waiting for the afternoon shift to come on so I can go home, and if they are dry enough, mow the lawns. If not, I guess I will have to read. Darn!
9:45am Getting ready to take my daughter to the cinema for the very first time (to see Moomins on the Riviera). Fingers crossed it goes well!!
At work, sadly.
Now on lunch, tennis scores on the computer, good reads on the computer, kindle in front of me ready to read.
Music in my eyes... K.D Lang.

17:10 Just ordered my friend's birthday gifts online ready for next Thursday. One of them I'm actually considering ordering for myself - a set of coasters with your favourite cocktail recipe on it www.notonthehighstreet.com/coconutgra.... Now got a Bolognese sauce simmering on the hob (trying out Gino D'Acampo's recipe from Gino's Italian Escape) and sipping a glass of red. It's been a brilliant day so far :)
1:24 P.M. Catching up on GR because I haven't been on in a while and wanting to start another book, but can't decide which one..
2217 going to find the hand cream for my poor torn hands and catching up on master chef south africa
11:38 AM. Same thing I was doing 26 hours ago: wading through emails, minus the multiple visits to my GR Recommendations pages.
Just about to have something to eat. I feel like carrying on writing as I'm getting so near to the end of my first draft but my eyes are sore so it's time to call it a day.Have a lovely weekend everyone. :)
Amber you must go through many pairs of wading boots. =}At last glance I have 289 emails. Every few weeks I take about 10 minutes to delete as many as possible. I might read 5. I just couldn't imagine actually reading them all. It would be like reading the truck load of junk mail stuffed in my mailbox on a daily basis.
But then, I'm not an important person in the grand scheme of things, neither is my mail.
22:51 watching "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" for the 100th time :) I love this movie, the book is better of course but i enjoyed the movie :)
I get a daily Digest, plus whatever's not yet on my GR digest, E. Plus I only get 3 hrs a day online at the public library, Monday-Saturday since I can't afford home access. That said, it's 10:18 AM and I am going through all the emails that have come in since I logged off last night.
12:38 Watching Mockingjay pt 1. One of the few series of films that does justice to it's written counterpart
