What Time Is It And What Are You Doing?
Sophie, that's IF you actually ENJOY watching dystopian dreck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hp_x...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvJqv...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibkBT... and I couldnlt find an actual clip by Honest Trailers for Mockingjay Part 2.
1:16 PM and wading through email while gagging on the vids I just linked for Sophie.
I'm generally not much of a Dystopian fan tbh. I just happened to quite like the Hunger Games. If it wasn't that my sister kept going on about it I don't think I'd have even read that!
11:53AM and I just finished posting a comment to the effect that Senator Rand Paul doesn't seem to give a f**k about the fact that "extinction is forever" in a letter to the greatest cesspool in the country, Congress, about his attempts to weaken the Endangered Species Act.http://environmental-action.webaction...

He doesn't have a clue on some things. I saw him on the today show with the Savannah Guthrie, and she was interviewing Rand and Rand was like, No! no!, you will ask me this. Why don't you ask me something? Savannah was like, Well, I am trying to ask you questions. Rand was like no, don't ask me that ask me this. His voice was raised the entire time. Loser. Way to go. Way to treat women. Later that evening he was on Fox News' The Kelly Report with Megyn Kelly and she was trying to defend Savannah, which is interesting because of their polar opposite political views, and Rand was raising his voice again and Megyn was having to shh him with her index finger over her lips. What is his deal. Oh, well, I shy away from politics here. This is for readers. I am talking about me, not you Amber.

It's almost nine-thirty and I'm winding down from the French Open. I can't believe it's over that quickly. I also can't believe I have to wait an entire year to see it again. Anyway, bye.
I'm looking forward to spending some time with my son who arrived home from uni last night and will be with us till Sunday. My daughter is in the middle of her A levels at the moment and gets really stressed so it's good to get his moral support as he's such a calming influence. :)
Just finished playing tennis, on grass tonight, my favourite, love it.
Even better when a friendly game, no pressure, four friends, I play better and enjoy more, and so peaceful and quite

4:04 PM Same thing as last time, plus dreading the walk home in 93 degree (Fahrenheit) weather, as well as reading "Are We Sipping Our Last Cups of Tea Because of Climate Change?" courtesy of http://www.care2.com/causes/are-we-si...
4:14 Pm Thinking I REALLY do need to decrease the amount of insulin I take. Have had THREE incidents of hypoglycemia TODAY! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypoglyc...
Amber, I hope you have your glucose tablets, or something loaded with sugar nearby, always. A good friend of mine just lost her grown son from a diabetic coma. They found him lying in his apartment. My son has had it since he was 4.
So, please take care.
Karl: I ran out of my glucose tabs day before yesterday and I hadn't thought of grabbing a handful of mini candy canes from my fridge before I left my apartment yesterday.Spent about 6 hrs. in the ED at the local hospital and I have a bruise the size of a standard can of soup, diameter-wise, on my left arm where the ambulance crew started an IV for 50% dextrose. My reading got up to 194 mg/dL after about 3hrs. in the hospital.
My pre-breakfast reading was 112 mg/dL...at approx 6:30 AM.
This said, it's 12:17 PM and I am wading through my email while answering posts on GR and playing Solitaire via greenfelt.net
18:49 just been offered dinner at my parents' so am hot-footing it to theirs with a chilled bottle of rosè as payment!
I reminded you to keep your glucose tablets near, and encouraged you to be careful, not Karl. I didn't know if you read the wrong name. But anyway, take care.
I'll try, Cameron.Haven't eaten yet today. Wasn't hungry.
11:33AM Wading through emails and GR posts.
17:40 Just had an awesome afternoon at the local library's kids club with my daughter making Where The Wild Things Are masks. Now treating her to burger and a shake while I book a holiday for next year :)
14:30 Just finished updating my Goodreads books I've read and PIFM thread. A month's worth of books so getting done while I'm home for a few days and the data signal is good.
2:12 PM Same thing as last time...plus wishing I had brought a hoodie. The library A/C is on too high and I'm freezing!
Doesn't help that my blood sugar is dropping and my closest access to sugar packets is a church meal that doesn't start serving until 5.
Thinking about England... parks in Harrogate, pubs in Bath, the Bronte parsonage where I'll probably end up at again, and what gigs to go to...
Downloading "Touch and Go" the sequel to "Love You More" (highly recommended, btw) on audio. Going to take the dogs to the park for a hike and take advantage of the beautiful sunny day, before it starts raining (...again) while I listen. Days off from work rock. Wish I had more.
3:01 PM Wading through emails and being pissed at the people who told Girl Scouts to "go back to Baltimore!" ( http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/06... )
watching celebrity masterchef and trying not to think about Saturday :) have finally stopped eating for one day :) and studying the route map
7:45 pm Having dinner with my 84 year old mom about to go see Jurassic World. She picked it out. I'm still shaking my head on that one....
13.32 on a cold wet NZ winter's day.....in my office trying to catch up on the piles of paperwork that have accumulated while i had my week off. Missing the warmth of Qld, Australia. Still have all my reviews to write for the books I read while I was away. 8:D
I'm not gonna go watch it, E. since John Williams didn't do the music.11:55 Am shivering because the library's A/C is on too high.
It was ok. It had it's moments. The characters were goofy but some of the scenes were ok. I don't really "go see" movies. It's probably been a year or more. I generally read for entertainment, or I might get redbox if I stop at walgreens, and enjoy my in-home surround sound. I prefer indie-type films, anyway.
10:08 Just knocked back some flat diet Coke (it's strange but I really like flat, cold Coke for a hangover) now making a cup of tea, browsing my local library's online catalogue and watching Saturday Kitchen. Jason Donovan's food heaven and food hell have actually left me torn this week! Heaven - lobster curry, Hell - peach tart. It's a tough choice but I think I'd have to go with the Thai-style lobster curry :)
