No stress here - just read what you want, and if you don't finish there's always next month! I chose two for you that I think will be cozy or at least easy reads."

Woohoo! Finally the kick in the pants I need to finish Ragnarok (I started it back when it came out over a year ago, but only got about 20% in because 500+ page books are my attention span's mortal enemy). Isn't Amy's grandma so great? And that romance novel will hopefully be a quick and easy read. ^_^ Thanks for the picks.

Colleen, for you I pick A Fashionable Indulgence (Society of Gentlemen, #1) by K.J. Charles , because it's been on my TBR list forever, and The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3) by Deborah Harkness because it not only sounded really interesting, it'll also (I assume) finish up the trilogy for you. Hope you end up liking them. ^_^

Good choices, Jenn. I'll probably start with If the Shoe Fits, but I'm hoping to read them both in September, if I can.

Rita (xeyra) Elizabeth, I'm picking for you without a doubt Assassin's Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy, #1) by Robin Hobb as my first choice, because it is an amazing book, first in an amazing series and from an amazing author (say amazing one more time!).

My second pick is definitely cover based, I confess, and it's The Girl In The Ice (DCI Erika Foster, #1) by Robert Bryndza .

Have fun with one or both of these in September! Happy readings!

No word, Kay, and I'm sorry. I have been obsessively checking to see if I missed their posts. Technically, they have until 9:30 am EST tomorrow to come in and pick for their partners, before I put them on the no show list and assign re-picks. Hopefully, the missing folks will see this and do picks.

Jo March Karina,
I'm picking Mr. Splitfoot by Samantha Hunt and The Gene An Intimate History by Siddhartha Mukherjee for you. I tried to mix up the genres a bit so you'll have some variety. They both sound great, and they'll be going on my own to-be-read shelf shortly. Be sure to let me know if they're as fascinating as the synopsis makes them sound.

Thanks, Nina, but I think we're good. One person has responded and left picks for their partner, so that leaves only 3 folks without picks. I'll be posting re-picks in a couple of hours, just to allow the missing participants a fair shot at avoiding the Naughty No-Show List.

I pick for you Courage Has No Color The True Story of the Triple Nickles, America's First Black Paratroopers by Tanya Lee Stone and Little Brother by Cory Doctorow .

I selected Courage Has No Color: The True Story of the Triple Nickles, America's First Black Paratroopers because my favorite type of reads are non-fiction history and I tend to gravitate to WWII books.

Based off your other options you seem to like dystopian type reads, so I selected one in the event you were feeling the non-fiction book.
