Tell us the books you've read in August! I'll start to populate this thread with covers. You may post them all at the end of the month or one book at a time as you go. How many books will our group read in just 31 days?

I finished:The Quick and the Thread by Amanda Lee on August 1 (this is the only one I started in August).
The Sun King Conspiracy by Yves Jégo August 2
Victoria: The Queen: An Intimate Biography of the Woman Who Ruled an Empire by Julia Baird August 1
Baby Doll by Hollie Overton August 3
I finished Jack-in-the-Box by William W. Johnstone yesterday (8/5) and Chills by Mary SanGiovanni today (8/6).
Because I am still waiting on my order arriving (curse you international shipping) I finished The Dark Half by Stephen King
This whole thing inspired me to really start reading again, and I finally finished Midnight on Julia Street. That thing languished in my purse forever.
And I am still waiting on my books arriving - The True History of the Elephant Man by Michael Howell
I finished Thunderlord by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Deborah J Ross. And A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson.
After almost 2 years of reading it, I finally finished A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin. Huzzah!
While being sick sucks, it is good for the readingThe Adventures of Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey
Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding
The Quick and the Thread by Amanda Lee
Finish both of these some time last week:Inside the Flame: the joy of treasuring what you already have by Christina Waters
I'm Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid
The Cruelest Month by Louise PennyAnd Brooklyn byColm Tóibín. I have not made time to read lately so glad I am finding time.
Just finished my most recent reread of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I reread this roughly once a year and it never gets old. This time, I took a different approach and went with the Audible version, narrated by Rosamund Pike. HIGHLY recommended.
Jessie have you read any of the different versions by other authors? Finish Darcy's voyage by Pamela Mingle
Patty wrote: "Jessie have you read any of the different versions by other authors? Finish Darcy's voyage by Pamela Mingle"I haven't. Although I do have Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James and that's been sitting on my shelves for awhile. That might get read sooner, rather than later. : )
