He sat up, tubbing a hand down his face.

She used the bathroom then came back out.
He looked up and opened his arms out for hed.
She crawled into his arms with the blanket still around her.
"I love you so much." She huddled against him.
He stared at her, "do you think they found anything by now?"
"I think we should just go to sleep for the night; sorry about it in the morning." She said
"I...I just want to enjoy the time I have left with you." She whispered.
He frowned and pulled away. "What do you mean 'left'?"
"I mean in case something happens to me. Like they don't get him out." Her bottom lip quivered.
"Don't say that," Elian said. "Don't give up."
"It's not about me giving up." She said. "It's about him being to powerful for me to fight off. I'm..I'm old, Elain; old and worn out."
"So you are giving up," he said as he sat up.
"No I'm not! I don't want to." She started to cry.
"Then you have to fight, even if you don't think you'll make it," he said. "Please," his voice became gentler. "Please. I'll fight with you."
"Of course ill fight." She said. "I'll fight with all I have. But I'm just saying that I'm old and a little weakened from my past with drugs."
Elian tried to shush her, "I'm sorry," he said.
"I just love you so much." She cried.
"I know," he said and gently kissed her again, hoping to calm her.
She wiped her nose on the blanket and shuddered, trying to cease her tears.
He grabbed a tissue box and handed it to her.
She sat up a bit and blew her nose with the tissues.
He hugged her again. "Lets get some sleep."
"I know, I'm sorry," he said, his hand on his forehead.
He gently kissed her and laid back again with a sigh.
She stayed showing up. "Sometimes he shows me good things." She whispered
"He showed me us." She looked over at him. "I don't know when it was but we were together and I had a ring on my finger and Amelia was there with us." She said. "Also, I was holding a baby." She murmured.
He sucked in a breath, "ours?" He asked softly, hoping that meant something:
She nodded. "Ours." She whispered.
He paused, "do you think it means anything?" He asked.
"I think so." She nodded. "But...I think he's mocking me when he shows me it." She frowned.
"Why would he show me something happy?" She asked openly. "Knowing what he is and what's he's doing to me." She said. "It's like a false-hope. He wants me to believe that'll happen; that'll we'll survive this; that I'll survive this".
He let out a careful breath but he didn't want to start yelling at her again and so he kissed her lips, "we will."
She nodded and kissed him back, sniffling a little.
He paused, "you know, I don't even know their names."
At first she didn't know who he was talking about. But then she nodded. "Oops?"
She giggled a little and shrugged.
