The Minx's eyes caught his. Her irises were a bright white so they were almost glowing in the dark. She blinked and suddenly she was gone, but then, a few moments later, her laugh echoed only around his him.

Elian blinked when she disappeared and looked back at the stage with his brows furrowed in confusion. He sighed blaming it on lack of sleep and too much coffee. His head snapped up when a woman's laugh seemed to echo in his ears.
"I see you." The Minx whispered into his ear, from directly behind him. The people sitting behind him were completely oblivious to her invisible presence. Before he could even turn around, she was gone. Flame and Ice concluded their act with a with bows. The crowd cheered.
Jude's head snapped to the side to catch whoever it was but people just thought he was crazy. He looked from each person but the people behind him were men.
The stage cleared once again while the clapping died down. The music changed to a creepy piano number. From above, a bar was held up by thick wires. Sitting on the bar was the infamous Minx. She was sitting proper and cute, pointing her toes as her seat lowered itself to the stage. She flipped off the back of it and landed perfectly, causing the crowd to cheer. Her eyes were a normal blue this time.
This time, Elian's eyes never left the stage. In fact, they never left the Minx. There was something off about her but at the same time, she was intriguing and sexy and well, his eyes were glued to the figure.
Her hair was twisted and tied into intricate braids and knots. The bar raised up out of sight and once it was gone, she started to do an arrange of tricks like tumbling and twirling, then finally showed the weird bending stuff she could do with her body.
Elian watched her. She was like a cat. Like cat woman. Flexible and swift and graceful. He quickly shook his head she was a gymnast, thats why she was so swift and flexible.
The minx do a few more tricks with balance and stuff, then bowed when that little bit was over. She looked over to her left and gasped at the sight of a real living lion. The minx scurried back and hissed, arching her back."Is that real?" Katy gasped.
Elian watched, trying to act bored but his eyes were centered on the Minx. "Of course not, Kat," he said but instinct made him want to stand up and defend her, for some reason.
Both "cats" starred each other down, circling the stage. The Minx then pulled out a very small knife from God knows where and held it by her side, ready to fight. The room went silent until the lion ran toward her, pouncing off the ground. She lowered herself down on her haunches, then leaped up, meeting the lion mid air as she battle cried.Katy screamed, as well did everyone else, covering her mouth.
The Minx jabbed the knife into the lions heart, directly. The lion collapsed on her and she laid underneath it, pretending to be dead."She's not moving!" Katy exclaimed.
The minx then roared and flipped over, gasping for breath. The crowd gasped and started to cheer when they realized she was okay. She did a back flip and bowed to the crowd.Katy was crying. "She killed a lion."
Elian carefully sat back down when he saw she was fine. His eyes widened and he turned back to Katy. "Hey, Kat. I told you, it's not a real lion," he said gently when she cried.
"But it is." She pointed. "Look at the blood." The Minx waved the bloody knife around then suddenly frowned. She looked directly at Katy. "As you upset, child?" Her accent was slightly Russian, but barely.
Katy's eyes widened when she was acknowledged. "Y-you killed it." She sniffled.
The Minx furrowed her brows and looked down to the lion. "What's your name, sweetie?"
"We're in a theatre love, it's just an act—" Elian looked up when Katy was addressed. His brows rose but his gaze centered on the Minx again.
Katy swallowed hard, clearing her throat. "K-Katy." She replied shyly and nervously. The Minx nodded and looked at the lion again. "I didn't think anyone would be upset about this death. He did try to kill me after all." She said with a sigh. "You know what; just for you, I'll bring him back." She smiled.
A small smile touched Elian's lips at that. He didn't dare say a word when they spoke. He sat back again to watch.
Katy had no idea how she was going to bring a dead animal back to life, but she nodded and settled back in her seat. The Minx rolled her shoulders, cracking her neck a little. She approached the lion, crouching down to its level. She petted its long fur while she mumbled nonsense under her breath. Her eyes faintly turned white again life before. A minute later, the lion twitched then sprang to life. The Minx jumped back with a smile, her eyes turning back to normal. The lion let out a huge roar and the crowd exploded into applause.
Honestly, Elian had no idea how she pulled that off in an act but he started clapping, too. "See," he poked his cousin playfully.
Katy giggled and clapped along with everyone else. The Minx bowed and touched the lion who didn't seem to hate her anymore. "Thank you, thank you." She said, then for the remainder of the show she did some tricks with the lion.
Elian's gaze seemed to center on only The Minx again. His eyes never left her, not even to blink. There was something about her... Something he couldn't shake... And it wasn't just because of her name and what it insinuated.
Shortly after the show concluded. The previous acts came on stage and they all bowed while the crowd clapped and cheered. The Minx was pushed forward by her co stars. She laughed and curtsied, suddenly looking a little shy.
Katy nodded and stood up. She fixed her shirt and followed the crowd out. There was another line forming by an alley beside the building.
People who didn't want to stick around leaving only a few people behind outside the theatre. The back door of the place opened and the twin boys stepped out, wearing casual clothing. They waved and laughed lightly as a few people demanded a picture with them.
The others appeared, except for the Minx. Katy was just about to give up on waiting when she finally appeared through the door. Her hair was unbound and a sea green this time. She was wearing tight black pants, a white tank top and a leather jacket. She had a bunch of rings on her fingers.
Elian looked up, immediately spotting her. Woah. She suddenly looked like his type. He loved those girls with the tough look and wild hair. He wasn't completely sure it was her because of the change of clothes and lack of mask.
"Sorry for being late." She announced. "I couldn't get out of my costume." She laughed, which made the small crowd laugh. She scanned the people and met eyes with Katy. "Ah; I knew you'd come to see me." She said warmly.Katy blinked in surprise. "You did?"
Elian knew it was her. He walked over with Katy and his brows raised. He watched her quietly, his hands still stuffed in his pockets.
She nodded. "Any lover of animals comes to confront me about my show." She teased. She pursed her lips, lifting her gaze to the guy she was with. "And who might this be?" Katy looked up at her cousin. "Oh; this is my cousin."
She raised her eyebrows. "Right. You saw me." She said. She extended her hand, taking his in hers. Her rings knocked together. "I'm Natalia."
"Yep," he leaned down charmingly and pressed his lips to her knuckles. "Happy to meet you, Natalia," he said.
Both Natalia's eyebrows and Katy's eyebrows shot up when he kissed her knuckles. The boys behind Natalia snickered.Natalia hid a faint blush while trying to figure out why a chill ran down his spine at the touch of his lips. "Did you enjoy my show?" She asked skeptically.
He stood up straight again and stared at her. "I did... It was the most entertaining one," he said instead of saying 'it was the only one I did enjoy.'
"Thank you." She smiled genuinely. She stared at him for a moment until Katy snapped her out of her thoughts."I love your rings!" She said.
Natalia smiled and examined her hand. "Thank you. I collect them."
Katy stepped forward and looked at the rings with a small smile. Most of them of plain but some were more extravagant."I have a something for the both of you." Natalia said. She reached into her back pocket and took out a lions canine tooth. She held it out to Katy.
Katy picked up carefully. "Is this the lions tooth?"
Natalia nodded. "All of his teeth fell out a year ago from a gum disease. For the show we give him fake ones."
"So...he's not mean?" Katy asked.
Natalia chuckled. "No hon. She's very friendly. But don't tell anyone, okay?"
Natalia nodded. "Her name is Kira. We rescued her." She said. "The mane is fake." She giggled. There was a twinkle in her eye when she met his.
"Good to know," Elian said, his eyes on hers. He brought his phone out when it rang, holding her gaze as he picked up.
