Elian didn't say a word as his aunt spoke. Until she came to an end. "Okay," he said simply. He finally looked away and down at Katy. "Your mom wants you home. It's late."

Katy nodded, holding the tooth in her hand. "Thanks Natalia," she said, moving back towards her cousin."You're welcome." She smiled, the slipped the black ring off her finger. She held it out to Elian. "For you." She said. "Plus," she pulled out a business card.
Elian's brows rose and he looked down at the ring, he looked up at her and then took it. He slipped it onto each finger to see where it fits then settled on his pinky. "Thanks, I think," he said.
"It'll project you." She said, a little darkly. She then smiled and curtsied again. "Have a good night."
"Project me?" His brows raised and took the card. He looked down at it. He honestly had no idea what that meant.
((Sorry I meant protect XD))"Contact me if you....have any questions." She smiled. The guy who MC'd the show came up behind her. He touched her lower back. "Ready to go babe?" He asked.
Natalia nodded, moving out of his touch slightly.
Elian blinked. Twice. Three times. He watched them for a moment. "We should get going. I'll call if I have... Questions," he said but he didn't know what questions he would have but really, he just wanted to punch the guy in front of him but all he did was nod goodbye. He turned to leave with his cousin.
"Bye! Thank you!" Kart waved while she followed her cousin."Goodbye." Natalia smiled. She winked at Elian then turned away.
"Good point," Elian chuckled and took a deep breath. "Actually, I hope she is dating someone. At least then I'll have a reason to fight again." He said.
Elian sighed, "you don't have to watch, Kitten." He said, "plus, it'll probably just be one fight." He shrugged as he stopped in front of a hot dog stand.
She nodded and took her hotdog when it was ready. She pulled out five dollars from her pocket. Standing in the middle of the road was a small child. She was facing away and wearing a white gown. Only Elian could see her/
Elian paid instead. He looked up just in time to see a little girl standing in the middle of the road. "Oh my god." He whispered. "HEY!" He yelled out, "hey, there are cars every where. You'll get hit!" He called, starting to walk over.
Katy looked to where he was yelling. "Who are you yelling at?" She asked. A car zoomed toward the girl. He ended up going right through her.
Elian started to go faster but then the car went right through her. He blinked once and his eyes want wide as he stepped back and off the road again. "Th-the girl!" He pointed.
"Elian watch out!" Katy yelled after him. She stood by the curb. The girl slowly turned around to reveal a eyeless face. Blood streamed down her face.
Eli fell back as soon as he saw her. "What the fuck?" He whispered, crawling backwards on his hands quickly to get away.
"Elian!" Katy knelt down beside him. "What is it?" She sounded scared. The girl smiled and vanished when a car passed her.
Elian looked up at his cousin with wide eyes. "What the fuck?" He repeated and looked at the road again then back at his cousin then back at the road then back at his cousin. "You didn't see that?"
"The girl? You didn't see the girl?" He repeated, quickly standing up as he stared at the road again. He quickly shook his head, "forget it." He said.
"Forget it," he repeated and dusted himself off, looking like he just saw a ghost and in a way, he had.
Elian blinked up at her and sighed. He looked a little hurt himself that she would think that. "No, Katy. If I was on drugs again, I wouldn't be like this and if I was, it would have worn off by now. It's been hours since we left your house." He sighed and rubbed a hand down his face. "Come on, sweetie, lets get you home."
Katy nodded. "I'm sorry. I just.. I had to ask. You freaked me out a little." She admitted. She squeezed his hand she show her apology.
He knew she was being genuine. He sighed, "it's fine... I just thought I saw someone standing there," he told her and gently squeezed her hand back as they walked.
Finally, they reached her house. "Goodnight, Kitten," he kissed her head and waited for her to go in.
He waved and rubbed a hand down his face when she was gone. He pulled out some cigarettes because they helped him stay away from drugs. He lit the cigarette up and walked to his tattoo shop—with an apartment upstairs, thanks to his aunt and uncle.
Natalia was in her own condo apartment in the nicer part of the city. One wall was just a window, overlooking the city skyline. Half naked, she lounged on her white couch, staring off into space. She could feel him, sense him, and read his thoughts with the ring she gave him. She twisted her own identical one on her hand, thinking.
At some point, Elian stopped to see his ring had changed to white. He could have sworn it had been black when he got it from her. He shook his head, I'm losing my mind, He shook his head again to shake the thought away. That thought in and of itself was the reason he started doing drugs and got kicked out of his parents house when he was 18. He sighed and sat on the couch, recalling what had happened just half an hour earlier. He quickly convinced himself that he hadn't seen anything.
Whenever she wasn't tapping into his mind, the ring would be black. But it was still white since she was fascinated by his mental state. She couldn't hear his thoughts word for word, but she was pretty good at interpreting them. Drugs crossed his/her mind, making her sign. It explained a lot.
Elian stood up and started pacing and pacing and pacing. That was pretty much all he did all night, stressed and paced. He walked to his bedroom and started pacing again. Finally, pull his shirt and trousers off and lay on his bed. He stayed still for exactly a minute then got up to pace again, completely restless. He sat at his desk and started drawing some tattoo designs but then he was up and pacing again because it was too much sitting still.
Bored of him being restless, Natalia let him go, turning the ring black. There was something about him that didn't sit well with her. Something...unsettling. He wasn't a necromancer, that much she knew, but he definitely wasn't fully human. Stripping naked, she crawled into her luxurious bed.
Elian finally got sick of this and stripped naked. He pulled his ring and watch off just in time to see it black. He quickly dropped it. What the fuck. He walked away and towards the toilet where he took a shower and stayed under until the water turned cold.
Natalia fell asleep to the radio after she turned it on. She couldn't sleep on dead silence. The voices managed to get to her easier that way.
Elian came back and put the ring on for some reason. Then he laid in his bed and stared at the screen.
If they would both sleep at the same time, Elian would get a quick glimpse into the voices, and shadows. They followed Natalia everywhere. They are the reason for the scars on her wrists and thighs and the drug abuse.
