Natalia sat down on the couch and rubbed the bridge of her nose, sighing.
Elian wrapped his arms around her, "are you okay?" He asked.
She nodded, leaning against him. "I just have a bit of a headache."
"Do you want me to get you painkillers?"
He looked up when Amelia approached, whispering because she thought Natalia was asleep.
"Is she otay daddy?" She whispered.
Elian looked up at Amelia and looked at Natalia worriedly again, "I don't know."
"I see her in my dreams." She whispered.
Elian tilted his head to the side confusedly.
"What happens in your dream?" He asked.
"She protects me from the bad stuff." She told him.
Elian smiled softly, "that sounds like Natalia." He said.
Elian paused, "I'm going to ask aunt Becky if she'll let you stay with me and Natalia tonight. Is that okay?" He asked.
Amelia grinned. "Yeah!" She clapped her hands.
Elian's eyes widened and he lifted his finger to his lips to quiet her down. "Don't tell anyone yet," he smiled:
She covered her mouth and giggled, nodding. "Sowwy daddy."
She giggled then looked over at Natalia, frowning. "Her eye is bleeding."A small head of blood dropped out from under her closed eyelids, running down her cheek.
Elian set Amelia down and quickly turned to Natalia. "Nat?" He asked urgently.
Natalia furrowed her brows but didn't wake up.
Elian shook her again. "Amelia, go to the kitchen," he ordered and took her face in his hands, "Natalia, wake up."
Amelia scurried off to the kitchen.Natalia gasped awake, widening her eyes. They were bloodshot, but it was quickly going away.
He quickly grabbed a tissue to wipe it. He watched her, his eyes wide.
She looked confused as she helped wipe up away.
"What happened? Are you okay?" He asked.
She nodded, blinking a few times. "Uh, yeah." She said, but didn't sound sure. "It happens all the time.@
"What happens all the time?" He asked.
"Nothing." She shrugged it off. She stood up, fixing her shirt. "I'm just going to use the bathroom".
"I'll be back." She said. She left the room.
She came back a few minutes later.
He sighed, "what happened?" He asked, starting to think he imagined it all.
"It's hard of explain." She told him.
He nodded, "okay, you can tell me later," he said.
She nodded. "I'm okay though. You woke me up in time."
She nodded, taking his hand. "Yeah."
She smiled softly. She looked pale
