"Yeh, it is," He smiled. "I'll take her to bed," he looked to his Aunt:
Amelia wrapped her arms around her father's neck, resting her head on his chest. She yawned cutely.
He stroked her hair and stood, he took her to her and Katy's room.
Natalia stayed behind, thinking he'd want a few moments alone with her.
Elian put Amelia to bed and tucked her in:
Elian sat on the floor next to her bed with a gentle nod.
"I go to your house." She played with the ears of her bunny.
"Aunt Becky wants you here, it's better for you," he said softly.
"No." she whined. "I wanna stay with you and Natty."
"You will... one day," he whispered and gently took her hand. "When Natalie moves in with me completely.
"Will dat be soon?" SHe asked while playing with his big fingers.
"I don't know," he said. "Daddy isn't well up here," he admitted, pointing to his head. "Natalia knows that, so that might mean a while."
Amelia reached up, touching his head. "das it huwrt?"
Elian paused, "sometimes it does." He admitted to her.
"Can I kwiss it better?' She asked with a cute smile.
Elian smiled at her, "you can try," he said, lowering his head over hers so that his hair tickled her nose playfully.
Amelia giggled and kissed his forehead. "All bedder now?" She played with his ears.
Elian nodded, "you made everything better, you know?" he smiled when he felt her tiny hands on his ears. "You make everything better for me and I'll never be able to repay you for that," he whispered and closed his eyes.
Amelia only understood the words 'thank you' from what he said, so she smiled. "You're Welcome.' She giggled.
He smiled at her, "sleep time, Milly." He said softly.
"Night Daddy." She pecked his lips.
"Good night, Milly. Sleep tight, sweet dreams," he said gently.
Elian watched his daughter fall asleep for a bit, forgetting that everyone else was waiting.
Amelia's eyes slowly drooped. She forced them a few times, fighting sleep, but finally succumbed to it.
Elian smiled and pulled the covers up to her chin before he remembered Natalia waited for him.
Natalia was downstairs, chatting with Rebecca while sipping on a glass of red wine.
Elian stood up and walked downstairs. He quietly sat down next to Natalia.
Elian looked to her, "they're okay, you know? My parents are okay. I don't know where they are but they are, they want to meet Milly, too." He told her, sounding like he knew and meant it.
Natalia blinked. With her lips parted, she looked at Rebecca.
Elian looked to Natalia and smiled, "they'd love to meet you, too." He said.
"Elian...your parents...they're not alive." She said softlyz
Natalia looked at Rebecca. "They died."
Rebecca sighed, "honey, you went to their funeral."
"They died in an accident." She said
Elian put his hands over his ears to stop their words.
Natalia held onto his wrists. "Baby, you're parents are dead. I'm sorry but it's true."
"No," Elian said and shook his head. "Don't say that." He said.
"It's true!" SHe raised her voice.
Elian flinched when she raised her voice before he stood up to leave.
"You're a great help." Natalia muttered to Rebecca. She stood up. "I'll take you home, Elian."
"I'm going to walk," Elian said before he rushed out to leave.Rebecca didn't know what to do.
Natalia sighed. "Great. Now I have to go follow him. Thanks for dinner." She said, then followed after Elian. "Elian!" She shouted.
Elian walked out, walking quickly. Instead of walking to his shop, he walked in the other direction.
