He didn’t speak about his own experiences with subsets, none that were particularly nice to hear or speak about. “No more,” he shrugged.

“Pardon?” She looked back at him.
She nodded. “I remember I was on a boat sailing to Ireland. I woke up before the crew and watched the sunrise.”
“Ireland,” he said softly. “That’s... lonely, I guess.”
“I was travelling from Germany. Trying to find a new life somewhere.” She said
“Germany,” he said and nodded. “Well.. did you? When you reached Ireland, I mean.”
“I have to keep moving.” She said. “I can’t settle”
“People get suspicious and start asking questions.” She said
He sighed lightly but didn’t respond.
“So that’s why you want to go to Germany,” he said. “You’re leaving.”
“Are you still going to?” He questioned.
“Will you come with me?” She asked.
He swallowed a little. “No, love. I don’t think I can,” he responded.
She frowned and looked over at him. “Why not?@
“Let’s talk about this when we get home,” he responded.
She sighed and nodded, turning away.
He sighed and rested his chin on her head again.
She crossed her ankles and leaned back against him.
“There’s a diner down the beach, want to eat?” He questioned.
He stood up and grabbed his shirt to put it on. “We’ll be back for our stuff.”
“Should we just put it in the car?” She asked
She nodded and stood, brushing off some sand on her legs.
He grabbed his phone and wallet and put them into his pocket.
She put her phone in her pocket and took his hand.
He laces their fingers and started walking towards the diner.
She kicked up some sand and adjusted her sunglasses.
She nodded. “I’m okay.” She murmured.
She walked up the steps to the diner and stepped in.
He opened the door for her and walked in after her.
“Where do you want to sit?” She asked
She nodded and picked a random spot.
He followed her and pulled a seat out for her.
She curled her hair behind her earsx
He sat down and looked over the menu. “What would you like to eat?”
“Hmm.” She studied the menu. “Something light probably.”
