“No we can; I’m getting hot again.” She said
He smiled, “you already are.” He winked at her and then set her feet on the ground. He swam away and stood, waiting for her.
She rolled her eyes playfully at him and walked into the water, not flinching this time.
She held her breath and dunked under for a few seconds to soak her hair.
“Okay let’s do this.” She pushed her wet hair back.
He looked back at her and held his arms out for her.
She wadded over to him quickly, splashing around a little.
He watched her movements and caught her again when she reached him.
“I’m not too heavy am i?” She teased
He laughed, “you’re not. You’re tiny,” he pecked her nose.
“I’m average.” She kisses his nose back.
He laughed, “maybe.” He pecked her nose again in return.
“Want to be cheesy and go watch the sunset now?” He questioned with a grin.
He laughed and picked her up again. He started walking back towards where their stuff was, putting her down when they reached the shore.
She shook the water off her body and grabbed an extra towel.
He sat down, not bothering to dry himself off.
She kept a towel wrapped around herself and sat down beside him.
He wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer.
She pushed his arm away lightly. “Open your legs.” She grinned.
He raised his eyebrows but did as asked, pulling his arm away.
She crawled between his legs and turned so her back was against his chest.
“Oh,” he laughed lightly and wrapped his arms around her.
She laughed and held her arms over his.
She smiled and rested her head nack.
He rested his chin on top of her head and stared out over the horizon.
She snickered. “I know but I was talking about the sky.” She laughed
“Yeah, and I’m talking about you. What’s your point?”
She rolled her eyes. “I’m not the sun.”
“Might as well be,” he leaned down to kiss her cheek.
“I fit more with the moon.” She said
“I like to think so.” She grinned.
“I belong with the moon; the dark side.” She said
“Relatable,” he said, leaning his chin on the top of her head again.
He watched the horizon as the sun slowly set.
“Very.” She smiled. “I’ve watched many sunsets alone.”
