"Woah!" he laughed and almost fell backwards but managed to steady himself. Then he started running again towards the water.

She wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed his neck, laughing.
He laughed and put his hands under his legs as he ran so she wouldn't fall off. He stopped when the water was up to her waist.
She smiled and let her legs drop.
He carefully set her down and then turned around to pick her up again.
"Hello there, beautiful. Can I get your number?" he asked as he started walking again.
“I don’t give my number to strangers.” She grinned
He gasped, "are we strangers, though? We've already had a conversation," he teased.
“So? I don’t know you.” She snickered.
"You don't? You already know that I want your number though," he said.
“So? You could murder me in my sleep.” She snickered
He chuckled lightly and leaned up to press his lips to hers, stopping because the water reached his neck.
She kissed him back and held onto him while somewhat floating.
He smiled at her, "this is a good idea."
He smiled, "yeah, fun and... away from everything else."
“Away from what I’m meant to be. What I’m meant to do.” She murmured
"And what's that?" he wondered because it hadn't come to mind, "I was actually thinking away from what happened with Maddox but please, elaborate."
She shook her head. “Let’s not. I like pretending I’m normal. Even if it’s only for a little while.”
He paused, "I can do that," he said and gently kissed her nose before slowly starting to sink them.
She shivered under the water from the cold, and held onto him tighter.
He held his breath until they were under water.
She held her breath too, letting a few bubbles escape.
He opened his eyes and made a face at her.
Her hair looked like it was glowing. She smiled at him with her teeth showing.
He stared at her for a moment, mesmerized by how she looked.
She then blew a bunch of bubbles in his face.
He grinned again and then pushed himself to resurface again to breathe again.
Once above the water, she wiped her face and pushed back her hair.
"Hello again, stranger," he said, panting lightly as he spoke.
“Hey.” She laughed. “You need to work out more.”
He playfully scowled, "I work out more than enough," he said even though it was a lie and he hadn't worked out in a while.
“Are you saying I don’t?” He questioned.
He kissed her lips teasingly, “you’ll regret saying that.”
“Because it’s a lie,” he said. “Guess I didn’t need to come up with an excuse to punish you,” he teased.
“I don’t really care.” She challenged
He chuckled lightly, “we’ll see about that.”
He kissed her head, “ready to swim again?”
He chuckled lightly, “come on, time to swim.”
