Nice! If you're interested in literature about Palestine, I suggest [book:Mornings in Jenin|6692041]. Very important, powerful book.
Also, All the Light We Cannot See is on my soon-to-read list. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks Pink! :) Good point! haha, they certainly didn't. Plus, I love going into a bookshop without any plan and buying books that catch my eye.

Lol, even those visits can sometimes be satisfactory once in a while. Just perusing the shelves. Yeah, I confess, I often want a lot, but I usually have a tight budget so I only walk away with those books I really want and can envisage myself reading in the near future.

I'm trying to mix up my contemporary and classics reading, with a bit more intentionality. We'll see how that plan actually plays out.

I think he will be the author this year where I have intention of reading all his novels.

Oh yes. I'm addicted too.
Oh yes. I'm addicted too.

Sure. I've spent the last 5 years finally getting around to reading books that have been on my shelves for 30 + years. And I'm STILL doing it!

Beauty and Sadness (published in 1964, the year of my birth!)

and A Little Life (published in 2015, but all hallmarks of a "future classic" ;o) )

We can see each others books here on Goodreads!
(you can use the Settings to display "owned" and a Lovely Green Tick appears next to all your actual books!
having said that, it does rely on people checking the "I own a copy of this book" box and linking the correct edition, and even I haven't done this religiously, although I am working on it!)

If you check out my owned books, it might list 2. I just never check that box so it doesn't occur to me that other people actually do.

Laurie - when I finish a book, although I don't always do a review, I always set the Finished Reading date, and while I have the edit panel open it seems rude not to set an owned copy while I'm there!
and for books I buy, but haven't read yet, I always like to make sure I have the correct edition selected, and again while I'm doing that I just set the owned copy info
