PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Started with #8 - book by a favourite author:
4.5★ for Kate Atkinson's intriguing Life After Life.

This is a great study of an English girl, her family and friends during WWI, the Depression and WWII. But this is a girl who is haunted by premonitions and who lives many different lives - all of them interesting. People die . . . or do they?

Kathy (willowtree30) | 7 comments Hello Friends! Just finished my first challenge book. I Let You Go by Clare Macintosh - Here is my review.
I Let you Go is an emotional, gripping thriller with twists and turns that keep you glued to the pages that has taken me away from my every day chores because I just couldn’t put it down! This book is extremely well written with fantastic characters in a great setting. It deals with some very hard hitting issues that are sometimes hard to read, but I was captivated and I now highly recommend this book to you as an excellent read. 5++
On to the big 900+ page book now - Kalinda......

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Thanks to Sally Howes for the recommendation for my #2 (recommended by friend) The History of Love by Nicole Krauss.

What an interesting story--or rather group of crossing stories--that stretches from Nazi-invaded Poland to NY today. First loves are poignant no matter what generation or part of the world.
