Yay, I love coming online in the morning to so many finished books! :-D
LaurLa, if possible, could you read for another bonus rather than a miss task? At the moment, not many are reading for miss tasks and bonus books give us a tiny advantage over miss books. Thanks! (Or yes, we could just bank it and hope for the best :-))
Also, on Friday there will be new tasks - just to get you all hyped for that hehe.

YA,

I'm 80% into Midnight Breed. Will finish in the afternoon.

Yeeep, Historical just got finished, so you can read something for that as well if you prefer :-)
Good night!

Good night!
Also, because I had a total blonde moment when putting books with goals, it is only now (after a comment K made) that I realised that Karen's Fourth Debt doesn't work for the mainland Europe task. Because it's set in Great Britain. Yeah... GB is so totally part of Europe for me that I did not even think to reconsider haha.
Anyway, so either we're going to use that book for the romance task now (though if I'm not mistaken, you're currently reading a romance book, right Karen?) or bank it for a primary task in the next set of guesses on Friday.
Or... we can use it for something else if it works for a task that isn't immediately clear...? Karen? :-)
Sorry about that ladies!

Haha, that's what I figured, now that I realised that it actually is mainland Europe and not the whole of Europe. *shakes head at self*

This also meant that we had extra guesses whoop,
So we carried on with I8 and J8 and we have sunk another ship WHOOP!!!!
That also gave us more guesses so I just threw random ones in there just to see what we could get, which was 1 miss H5 and ONE MORE HIT!!! B2.
So new tasks.........
HIT - I-8 - read a book shelved as fantasy by at least 10 people
HIT - J-8 - read a book shelved as historical by at least 10 people
HIT - B-2 - read a book shelved as young adult by at least 10 people
MISS - H-5 - read a book where author's first and last names have same initials
Eldarwen is adding them to the first page for reference, lets get some more reading done lol.

My kindle reading takes so much longer that audio!!
Abbie, this means you can read another historical! :-)
I'm definitely planning on having Pucked done today and then hopefully I'll get another few pages read in A Court of Mist and Fury!

That doesn't mean you can't read for the misses of course if these tasks aren't to your liking! :-)
We just need to remember that we need two books for the points to be counted.

I am. I am reading a book for fantasy. Looks now like it can be bonus or for new hit?

Can we use the one I finished yesterday? Since we were going to place it in a Miss?

seems to me if we don't get page points, then what is the advantage to reading a bonus book over a miss where do get the page points... right? so i have to be confused....

I'm definitely planning on having Pucked done today and then hopefully I'll get another few pages read in [b..."
Oh...nevermind...I see you did find a spot for that book.
Let me find another one to download, no problem!

You get both :)"
Thanks... that makes sense to me but I just wasn't reading it that way in the rules but just 'knew' I had to be misreading it ;-)

The Illusion book was used together with LaurLa's book, which she'd read for the GR rating task. Otherwise those page points wouldn't have counted.
The other historical book you finished went to the first historical hit we got.

Hehe, would defeat the purpose of bonus books a bit if they didn't get something extra.
And yes, if you read fantasy, it can either count for bonus or for the new hit! You could even read two fantasy books if you wanted - one for each square.

That's great! :-)
Keep them coming!!
And you guys are not making me feel like a slacker at all haha. But work keeps interrupting my reading time :-p I've managed 10 pages so far, it's shocking haha.

I am reading for fantasy now.
I will read another one after that. it also works for YA (gasp!).
Then I will read a historical.
By then we should have our next set of tasks and HOPEFULLY something else on my TBR matches up so that I don't go into a complete tailspin!
You love me now, Elderwen?
I totally do, LaurLa! But you knew that already anyway :-)
Next set of tasks will be on Friday, so in two days! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the tasks will match something on your TBR.
What would you be hoping for? Specific genre or..?

Well, you know I'm a romance reader... and ironically all the genres we keep hitting on are NOT my favored ones... YA, fantasy, sci-fi. I just lucked out that I had a couple of books on my tbr that are technically PNR but have also been tagged as fantasy. But I shuffled some things to get historical and the second fantasy on for this month.
Genre wise, more romance, of course!! But what I'm really hoping for are more hits on non genre specific tasks...

We forgot to do this E
Ok peeps, list your absolutely favourite series, one's that make you say "omg you *have* to read this it's sooooo good!!"
If you can find a sci-fi romance kind of thing, that could work, too.
Take Obsidian for instance. It's YA but also romance and also tagged sci-fi... Maaaaybe, you could find something along those lines that'll be up your alley?

Starting Water for Elephants works for E1, F1, G8, J8 or B2
Cool! We'll fit Water for Elephants into whatever primary is still open once you're done, otherwise into a bonus slot.

B2 - HIT - Read a book shelved as young adult by at least 10 people:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I'm curious what you're going to make of that one."
I'm still going with it. I've read it before!!!
I liked it. It was quirky, hell she was quirky. It's not really a romance, but I liked the writing alot.

I've read it before, and Eleanor & Park which I was slightly disappointed in.
I've not read anything else by her.
Eleanor & park was my first by her and I really liked that one. Completely pulled me in.
Fangirl not so much but I liked the story - the fanfic not quite so much as it was faaar too close to HP though the idea of the m/m characters was cool.
