Snarling Sabertooths
Yes the cost is the thing isn't it, I still get my old Tmobile staff discount even though I don't work there anymore, but if I upgrade I'll lose it, so that makes me think umm nooo
:-p
I'll disappear under the covers now for some quality time with my book. Or I'll never get any more reading done for today hehe. Though today is actually already tomorrow since it's past midnight but whatever.
Night, ladies!

Oooppps, we will leave that for V to clean up in the morning...she is always dropping things on the floor anyways....
Eldarwen wrote: "Abbie wrote: "Okay, I am a little lost, snuck on at work here...what do you all need me to read?"Read for whichever task you can out of these 10, preferably the hits:
E5 - MISS - read a book where the author's first name is one of the top 100 female/male names in Ireland according to nameberry (http://nameberry.com/popular_names/Ir...)

So all I have to say is YES!!! Ireland loves me! They started naming their kids after me!!!!
Look what came in from the library
Never Fade (512 pages)
It's labelled scifi :D
Since it's ebook, I won't start until I'm done with A Court of Mist and Fury

OMG Look at this place!!!!! Hmm, I suppose it's only fair after my dropping episode the other week.
*gets out cleaning stuff*
Yay!! ST I thought that Never Fade was actually better than the 1st, and you know how I loved that one lol
Omg..... you know what I just realised??
I haven't even read Never Fade. I saw a blue cover, #2 in series and I thought it was The Infinite Sea!!! Clearly, I'm not fully awake yet o.O

So I just looked at our Books Read thread (hey, that rhymes!) and no one has posted anything? Is it possible I'm the first to finish a book? Little ole me?So, E and V(nerd) (that also rhymes if we leave off the nerd part...), I posted my book. Let me know if I gave all the info you need.
Also, what should I read for next? Since we have the 2 required for all of the squares, should I concentrate on reading for bonuses on the Hits? But my finish dates have to be after the main readers, right? So should I just read almost to the end and literally finish it after I see final posts?
will work as a bonus for either sci-fi or fantasy - I'll save it until I see posts from the main readers. It's only worth 3 points, though.
will work for F10 (#3 in series). I'll go ahead and read it today. That will give us the 2 readers for that square. Also only worth 3 points. Is this good?
Hooray LaurLa!! I haven't checked shelves, but yesss, definitely looks like you're the first one to finish a book!! (Shame on me, I'm only just starting mine *cough*)
All the info we need is there, awesome post, thanks!!
And yes, reading a #3 in series works very well, thanks! That will take care of the second book we'll need to claim our page points for that square and then we're done with F10.

Ah LaurLa, sorry, I have to disappoint you. You weren't the first to finish a book ;-) Karen has already finished one of hers hehe.

Since there seems to be confusion...
Each member needs to read a book for a Primary Task
A Primary Task is one of the 2 books required for both Hits & Misses to call square complete.
What this means is:
--- Each team member must read at least ONE book during Battleship (2 weeks event)
------ This is not 1 book per guess chances (4)
------ This is not 1 book per week
------ This IS ONE book, for any ONE Primary Task during Battleship
--- Team members may not COMPLETE a book for a Bonus spot, if they have not Completed a book for a Primary spot
------ Team members may START books for Bonus spots but may not get the points for those books until they have Completed their Primary spot.

V yes it is. im loving it. cant put it down. E i still have to read #1 that you recommended to me.
im off to the lake hoping to get lots read. enjoy your weekend.
I remember reading that years ago so I wasn't sure if it was the same one, I think it either carries on or has characters from another book if I'm not mistaken.I used to be a huge SK fan, I devoured everything he wrote, personal favourites are Gerald's Game, Cujo & Rose Madder.
V there is a followup The Regulators by Richard Bachmann. in my teens i devoured everything he wrote. this is the first ive read in over 20 years.
I only ever finished one SK book, come to think of it.. I did start Gerald's Game and quite liked it but I put it down, and I cannot remember why. Should probably pick it up again and actually finish it this time.
Reading at the lake sounds good!

Yesss, keep them coming!! :-D
I had a bit of a slacker day as far as reading is concerned haha. I just wasn't motivated to do anything today. But I'll still get a few more pages in before I'm heading to bed tonight. The book is good and Rhys is yummy <3 But then, I already knew that hehe.

Pssst, we just scored a few points because we finished both books for a task.

Ah yes, the needing.. :-) I've been thinking about "needing" one, too and then I remember that I can do whatever I want on my work pc, have a laptop at home and when I'm not at home, I won't be doing anything on GR anyway, so... Then there's the stupid cost of those things here.
Some day, maybe hehe.
