Hi Kiran,
I am herewith suggesting 2 books (you can read either or both.) There is time till July 15 to complete the challenge.
The Silent Cries of a Magpie
Murder In Absentia
Hope you like the chosen books. I find I am at a loss to select as the genres we read are quite different, and I havent read any from your TBR shelf :)
Happy reading.
Kindly post the books I have to read too.

Hi Ankit,

Great choice. I have wanted to read this book for a long time and had been dragging my feet. Now I am definitely reading it.

My choices for you are

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
The Devotion of Suspect X: A Detective Galileo Novel

You can read either one or both of them. I have read these two and have loved them much.

Happy reading,

Indrani

message 174: by Suyash (new)

Suyash Gupta | 7 comments Hi vaivaswatha,
I went through your entire to- read list and even though most of the books in your list are very different from the kind I like, I managed to pick these two books for you:-
1) The kite runner- I am sure this wouldn't be the first time that someone recommend this book to you. It's an essential book if you ask me. It's a very captivating story of love and redemption against the backdrop of Afghanistan defiled by Taliban.Just read this one and I am fairly certain, you will thank me.
2)The girl on the train- This book has been on my tbr for quite some time. People have claimed it to be darker and more twisted than Gone girl. It's hard for me to even imagine that :p Anyway, this is an additional book just in case you like kite runner, and still feel like going by my recommendations.
Happy Reading!
Eagerly waiting for your pickings.

message 175: by Srav (new)

Srav (perspectives) | 19 comments Hi Chintan,

Your list was so big; I definitely added some books on your list to my tbr list! After much thought, I give you two choices to choose from: The Picture of Dorian Gray and Aghora. (if you can't find either to read, I cheated and chose Mrityunjaya as well.)

Have fun reading! Let me know which one you chose!

Ah sorry! I thought it was the same link.

Well here are my picks

1. The Goldfinch - I really enjoyed this book but it is a little different from most books. Not many here have liked it but I would like to know what you think, if you choose to read it.

2. The Glass Palace - I haven't read this one but I quite like Amitav Ghosh's writing.

3. The Argumentative Indian: Writings on Indian History, Culture and Identity - I read this one long back and quite enjoyed it.

You can choose any out of these three.

Happy reading! :)
