Brenda, don't you think she's more in a pattern now: women with a troubled past, understanding and easy-going guy? I've like the book a lot but it feels a lot like "I've already read it". It's not a problem for me (I like it), but perhaps it can be for other people.

I actually didn't think that Marisa - it's a scenario I hadn't read before and loved the way Ms Roberts wrote it - the fact that the mass shooting wasn't central to the story...
A Merciful Silence by Kendra Elliot 4 1/2-StarsCrazies on the loose in Oregon
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I've been reading If There's No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout and listening to The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy and narrated by the incredible Alan Rickman
Karen M wrote: "Finished The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult and the second in the series Wayward by Blake Crouch."I really enjoyed Storyteller but my favorite Picoult so far is Leaving Time.
I've been reading Someone to Love by Mary Balogh and listening to Alan Rickman narrate The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy
Hi Karen MI only recently discovered Mary Balogh and I have read Someone to Love and Someone to Wed. I was impressed. Did you enjoy Someone to Love? I thought it was different to most Regency romances.
22 Dead Little Bodies by Stuart MacBridehttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Winter Journey by Diane Armstronghttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Under a Dark Star by Anna Favershamhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I've been working on What Maisie Knew by Henry James for a few days now. While I have liked a couple other books of his, I am NOT a fan of his rambling page-long paragraphs. 😐
Which is why I also started a light romance for those times when rambling paragraphs are too much: A Wife In Time by Cathie Linz.

Now that my house full of company has gone I can catch up with my reading and posting.
Texas! Lucky by Sandra Brown 4-StarsGreat oldie romance.

Hook, Line and Blinker by Jana Deleon 4-StarsIda Belle's Blazer has more than a souped up engine.

Tucker by Lori Foster 5-StarsWonderful, but too short, romance.

My review for
Private: Oz by James Patterson (which I've owned since 2012!)https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished The Nine of Us: Growing Up Kennedy by Jean Kennedy Smith, I liked it a lot. Also listening to Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen (and a Joanne Fluke book)
Melodie wrote: "I finished
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI. Excelle..."Terribly sad story that needed to be told.
I'm reading a very old copy of The Golden Apples of the Sun that I found in a used book store and the final Sue Grafton Y is for Yesterday.
Currently reading
Swords and Deviltry by Fritz Leiber as well as
Saint Camber by Katherine Kurtz and on Audible
Lord of Chaos by Robert Jordan. Right now at 8%, 30% and 2% respectively.
If you enjoy reading about Amish characters then check this one out
I enjoy Laura Bradford's cozy mystery books so I thought I'd give her women's fiction book a try. It's fabulous!
In the last couple of weeks, I've enjoyed:
Back in the Habit by Alice Loweecey
K is for Killer by Sue Grafton
Heather L wrote: "I've been working on What Maisie Knew by Henry James for a few days now. While I have liked a couple other books of his, I am NOT a fan of his rambling page-long paragrap..."
Finally finished! An okay read. Much preferred Daisy Miller.

Just starting What Angels Fear
by C.S. Harris. This has been on my TBR list for quite sometime and I'm really liking it.
Now listening to: Fat Dad, Fat Kid: One Father and Son's Journey to Take Power Away from the "F-Word" by Shay Butler and Gavin Butler and hopefully will be getting into Taming the Star Runner by S.E. Hinton soon (tonight some time hopefully..still trying to make my way through a cozy by Joanne Fluke)
Liar, Liar by Lisa Jackson 4-StarsMystery - Thriller - Suspense
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Today I started reading Keep Her Safe. It's described as psychological suspense but 70 pages in there's a hint of something but not particularly suspenseful. Kind of feels predictable, hope I'm wrong.
Holding On by Pamela Clare 4-StarsHow do you overcome survivor's guilt?
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm re-reading The Bride by Julie Garwood. I read this years ago and had forgotten how much I enjoy this author.
I've been reading Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien and I just started listening to The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny
Brandi wrote: "Melodie wrote: "Reading
