Welcome to our Juggling June Challenge! As you read this month, look at the list of tasks below and see how many you can complete!



Rules:
#1. You need to complete three of the five categories listed below to finish this challenge. One read one book for each category.
#2. If you read 3 books, make 2 of them by Aussie authors - if you read 5 books, make 3 of them by Aussie authors.
#3. List and LINK all the books you plan to read for this challenge.
#4. Upon completion of a book, rate it and update your progress.

#2. June is the first month of winter. Read a book set in winter or with a wintery scene on the cover. Or where the word WINTER is mentioned in the title.

#3. The Queen's birthday holiday is celebrated in all states except WA. Read a book about royalty/dogs/horses - Historical Fiction may fit this one.

#4. The north of Australia is still quite warm during June. Read a book set in the Northern Territory or the Australian outback. Alternatively read a book set somewhere warm.

#5. Reader's Choice: Any book of your choice.

Just This Once by Rosalind James - 4★s - has a J title AND the author's surname starts with a J - so really juggling the Js in June with this one!!!

Snowy: The Making of Modern Australia by Brad Collis - However, the criteria for this task is to have the word winter - or a snow scene on the cover so this book won't suit for that

Great choices Sandy:) If you click on "edit" in your original post, then click on "add book/author" in the top right corner, type in the title and hit "search" then "add" with the correct book. Go back in and change to "author", and click "add" for the author to be added to your comment box as well. Good luck...

Hi Kerrie, that sounds great. I've been wanting to read that for years too, but was always put off by the size. I recently discovered the Text-to-Voice (Speech) option on my phone so I'm going to give that a go. I tried it on another huge book recently, and while the voice is computerised, you do get used to it after a while... It's no where near as good as a proper audiobook, but definitely better than nothing if you prefer the audio option for the longer books - like me ;)

I think it only came out with the latest/ recent iPhone software, it's been around for a while with android/ Google though.

My friend and I bought a few titles when we were in Singapore several years ago, we swapped a few around, and to my shame I put this in a pile and forgot about it. This title belongs to my friend, otherwise I'd be happy to pass it on once I read it
