Alek TS | 2 comments I'm so sorry about all worries which will cause this, but could someone edit this quote

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7686...

I just added it, but when I'm copy the name of the author, I wasn't saw and I add also the book name, so the quote link didn't work appropriately now. So sorry!

Thank you, very much! And my apologies, again!

message 56: by Erksh (new)

Erksh (ennuireader) | 4 comments Hey, I just created this quote here:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7689...

I thought I had selected the book but I guess not, as it only attributes it to the author. The quote is from "Living with a Wild God". Could a Librarian correct that for me?

Thanks!

Doc. (doctorwithoutboundaries) | 52 comments Hi, I just finished this book and there's a problem with the punctuation in this quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/4710...

It should read “Stay gold, Ponyboy. Stay gold . . .”

I know it's not much of a difference, but I was hoping someone could fix it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

It appears to be a Quote of the Day and is therefore untouchable. Unlike the other twelve versions on this page:

Hey,

I am referring to this quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/2118...

Someone tagged it with "anticapitalism" which is completely off.

Adam smith is actually considered to be the first theorist of capitalism as we know it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History...).

Some people might interpret having ethics as anticapitalistic I guess :-)

It's quite misleading though, so could we remove the tag?

Kind Regards,
Luca

Removed 'coz there were zero likes.

Anyone can add a quote on Goodreads, not just an author. These three were added by the same person and judging by the disjointed appearance I would guess that they were added via a Kindle.

If any more turn up we can remove them for you provided there are no 'likes'.

Story of Choice (storyofchoice) | 14 comments Will someone please correct the quote found here?

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/9660...

The quote should read: "The earth has its music for those who will listen" (no period)

And the attribution should be corrected to: Reginald Vincent Holmes in the publication Fireside Fancies

Source: https://m.facebook.com/randolph.wagne...

Thank you!

Done. And author/book added to Goodreads.

message 78: by John (new)

John Deltuvia | 1 comments Please remove or re-source the quote at

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/4957...

As far as I can find out, Solon wrote it, not Franklin. The quote is quite obviously not in Franklin's style which is why I was researching a meme on it.

Detailed research on the quote (not done by myself, why reinvent the wheel) can be found at

Felicity Goodrich (felicitygoodrich) | 1 comments Hello, Can someone please clean up or just delete this quote in general? The first part (you all is just one more thing that kept me going! ) is the second half of an incomplete sentence and it reads like a garbled mess. Also, the part that isn't scrambled is from the acknowledgement so I'm not really sure why it's been added in the first place. Thank you.

Steve Griffin | 27 comments Hello - I've just added three quotes by the New Zealand poet John Allison but I think they've been attributed to another John Allison by default. Can you modify it please?
Many thanks, Steve

message 92: by Prabhat (new)

Prabhat | 3 comments https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7781...

There have been few errors in this quote(above link), I posted today. Please replace it with this corrected one-

"...when Clive stood from the piano and shuffled to the doorway to turn out the studio lights, and looked back at the rich, the beautiful chaos that surrounded his toils, and had once more a passing thought, the minuscule fragment of a suspicion that he would not have shared with a single person in the world, would not even have committed to his journal and whose key word he shaped in his mind only with reluctance ; the thought was, quite simply, that it might not be going too far to say that he was... a genius. A genius. Though he sounded it guiltily on his inner ear, he would not let the word reach his lips.”

Thank you in advance!

Next time, please add a link to the quotes, and a link to the correct author profile.
I could find three quotes on your profile. Moved them to this author: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...

message 94: by Vasil (new)

Vasil Borisov | 15 comments Hi, Can you please edit the tags in all quotes from "The Help" where I checked "minnie". It should be "minny" instead of "minnie". I tried to do it myself but I couldn't. Big thank you!
This is the link:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/list...
Also I want to ask if possible one day to have these permissions to edit or delete, be part of your group?

Adam (edgeofinfinity) | 5 comments Vasil wrote: "Also I want to ask if possible one day to have these permissions to edit or delete, be part of your group? "

To become a librarian (with the ability to help out with public content on GR) you need at least 50 books on your profile. Once you reach that, you can apply to become a library here: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/6...
Good luck! (I'll leave the editing of the quotes to someone that knows Russian :) )

Regarding the tags I added to the quotes (the problem is with them, the tag should be "minny" instead of "minnie") - they are in English but OK.

message 99: by Amy (new)

Amy (amywp) | 2 comments Please could someone change the source of a quote I added yesterday? I'd like it to be listed as coming from 'The Hitch-hiker' rather than 'More Tales Of The Unexpected". While the latter is not exactly wrong, it's a collection of short stories and I think it would be better for the source to be more specific about which story the quote is actually from. Thanks in advance!
