I had high expectations when I started reading this book, and I am happy to say they were met and exceeded. There is a reason this is considered one of the greatest novels in American history. I need to do a more thorough review when time permits, but I wanted to get my overall feelings about the book down in case some, as I was, are somewhat intimidated by the length. It was a joy to read this and I took my time, stretching the enjoyment out. I always looked forward to reading and never did it seem like a chore to open it. So my advice is just to start. You won't be disappointed.
