I didn't like What's Left of Me Very much. Interesting concept, not executed very well. It was ok. I'm currently reading

Agreed. I'm going to start another book today to see if reading something else helps.
Heir of Fire took me sooo long to get through. I don't know why? Maybe all the pov switches? I liked book 4 a lot better.
Kylara wrote: "Heir of Fire took me sooo long to get through. I don't know why? Maybe all the pov switches? I like books that have multiple points of view, and so far it's worked in the series, but this one just has too many, which makes it hard to keep track of things.
I finally broke my slump!!! I'm 110 pages into
which is closest I've been to finishing a book in the past several days. ^-^
Great! I hope you're able to get through more, since I know you were planning quite a lot for this month.
I'm listening to Stay the Distance by Mara Dabrishus right now and loving it. It was one of my favorite reads last year and I'm so excited to be back in it. Audio isn't usually my thing, but this is so good.
I just finished
. I was enjoying reading it, but then I got to the end and I was like NEED NEXT BOOK NOW!!!! I love it when that happens.
Meh, it was fine, but the action at the end saved it. Still, I thought it was very slow-paced and it took a while to get used to the various POV changes.

I'm kind of stuck in a state of not being able to finish books. I can force myself to finish short ones but the long ones just seem to drag. :/
Courtney wrote: "Ah, I hate that! Hopefully you'll find something really good to get through soon!"I've been trying for the past week. I was hopeful with Burning Glass but I'm not 60% in and I'm not liking it. It's dragging. :/
Courtney wrote: ":( That's the worst."I'm forcing myself through my books but I'm very disappointed in myself. I got all these great new books and I was looking forward to reading them and I'm in a slump. I feel like I'm letting my team from another group down as well. :(
Glad you could enjoy the book in the audio form as much as the print/eBook form. What was different about the audio this time? Was it the narrator, the fact you already liked the series, or something else?
Bookbuyer: I am pretty sure they'll understand; we all have slumps. I hate when long books drag as well, but sometimes as soon as you get through it, you can just read a crapton more. It took me forever to read Heir of Fire, but now I think I can read more since I got through it. I hope it ends soon though.

Jackie, I think it was a combination of things. Already loved the book, but the narrator was excellent. She brought the characters to life so well. I particularly like how she read Beck, the guy in the book. :D
Do you remember her name? Have you tried looking for other books she's narrated? I always say that the narrator can make or break a book.
Her name is Sarah Mollo-Christensen. I'll have to see if I can find others. I know Mara wants to try and get her for the sequel when it's released! Also, I need to see who the Scottish woman was who narrated half of code name verity. I absolutely loved her.
Hmm, I've never heard of her. If you look up what else she reads, let me know.:)Does it not say the cast of narrators at the beginning or end of Code Name Verity?
It did, but I don't own it. I had it from the library. It won't be hard to find, I just have to remember to look. haha
I had a lazy reading day today and I just read Wink Poppy Midnight. It was so weird and awesome ; I couldn't put it down. The ending was all what the bleep did I just read. but in a good way lol.
Nice, glad you're liking it. I'm currently reading our book of the month and will be reading The Dragon Hunter next.
Ahh, gotcha. It seemed off at first, but it got really good fast, and the main character isn't as whiny as most—if at all.
