Review: I actually really enjoyed this one, despite all of the bad reviews! I'm glad I didn't really take notice of them and came into this book with an open mind. It even started off really well, with a plot twist and straight into the action. I was a little confused with the names of things and what everything actually was, and the whole Era and Protocol thing, but I really enjoyed this book :) One thing that wasn't a plot twist though was that (view spoiler) No surprises there. But these were all a surprise to me:

Read: Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion finished 5/26/16 (shelved 18 times as Part Of A Series)
Review: I loved the movie, so I figured I'd try the book, and now I'm really glad I did. It was just as good, if not a teeny bit better. And the movie kept fairly accurate, which was a really awesome thing. She didn't have much of a role in the movie, but I absolutely adored Nora, and couldn't help but squee a tiny bit at the end, when (view spoiler). Before requesting the book from the library, I didn't know that it was the first in a series, but now I just have to read the rest. Like, right now. But I don't have them. *sniffles* Soon, then. Sooooooooooon...

Read: The Lost Duke of Wyndham by Julia Quinn finished 5/29/16 (shelved 11 times as Part Of A Series)
Review: This was a really good book, that would've been five stars instead of the four I gave it if they hadn't been so annoying about going on and on about the unrealistic insta-love between the two main characters. There was a decent amount of action, the good kind of drama, and more that a few parts actually had me laughing (or at least letting out a very unladylike snort or two). I kinda wanna try and find the second one now, and read it too, especially since the cousin it focuses on turns out to not be as big a jerk by the end of the book as he was in the beginning. All in all, definitely glad I finally got around to reading it (I got it at a thrift store a few years ago and only finally got around to reading it now, for my May Dusty Bookshelf).
Rent Book #3
Read: Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton finished 5/31/16 (shelved 24 times as Part Of A Series)
Review: This one was a re-read for me, and while it was definitely still a good book, it wasn't as oh-my-gods-this-is-the-best-book-that-has-ever-existed as it was the first time I read it (about a decade or so ago). I forgot just how much I loved Edward. But I'm weird like that. But like I said, even though it didn't become my entire existence like last time, it was still a great read. I gave it four stars, but it was more like four and a half. Not good enough to round up to five, but still really freaking great. It felt like Anita was more of a bad ass to me this time, though, for some reason. The action flowed smoothly (and there was lots of it), the dialogue was pretty schweet, and I will always and forever love Sigmund. ^_^

Review: I absolutely love Jojo Moyes! I have loved all three of her books that I have read. My favorite is still
, but this one was wonderful as well. I really loved the historical fiction part of this story the most. Sophie's story was fascinating. I don't believe I've read any accounts (fiction or non-fiction) about the first World War. The present day part of this book was also very well done, although I felt that the (view spoiler) was a little too convenient for me. However, after setting that thought aside, I thoroughly enjoyed Liv's story as well. I feel like most people would not have stuck to her guns the way she did, and I admire her for that. Also, Mo was hilarious!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Shorter than me paying rent. I swear all I do is pay rent. It actually is. I don't own any properties yet. Next roll I'll just need to pay more rent anyway :p
So if Teresa is done, I'm assuming that means her properties are available again? Is there anyone else not playing anymore? Is everyone still wanting to play?
Am I asking too many questions???!!! haha

Read: Dead as a Doornail by Charlaine Harris finished 6/9/16 (shelved 54 times as Part Of A Series)
Review: Another re-read for me, because about 8 years ago I read the first seven or so books in this series, but never finished it, so I'm starting over again so that I can finally find out how it ends. I love the humor that's sprinkled about in this series, and I really love Sookie as a main character (which makes me seriously worry about the later books, since I've heard she 180s and turns into an unlike-her heinous b**ch). And I really love the amazing side characters that the author gives us. Everybody is so fleshed out, even the one-shot there-less-than-a-page bit characters. Definitely preferring the Sookie Stackhouse books over the Anita Blake books at this point (it used to be the other way around). Definitely drooling after Eric (that's the same as it was before). Definitely looking forward to reading the next one.

Review: The Valley of Horses was another amazing book in the Earth's Children series. It's funny because so much of the book is just Ayla alone with only her horse and cave lion for company, but it was still fascinating! I'm not an expert on prehistoric times, but this felt like Auel had to do so much research to describe daily life as well as she did. You really can imagine yourself living during that time, and what it would take to survive on your own.
Maddison wrote: "Yeah that's a good idea :) Even though I haven't read a book in ages, I'm still playing :p"That's fine if you're going slowly...I'm not cruising by any means. It's just nice to hear that people are still playing :D
Maddison wrote: "What do you mean you're not cruising?"I mean I'm finishing a book every 1-2 weeks! Not very speedy here :D
Considering I don't go out of my way to read for challenges :p I might need to just read some little lonely books for it.

Review: I'm glad I finally read this one :) I've owned it for a while, and have been meaning to read it. I thought it was actually a compilation of three littler books, but to find out it was it's own whole story is awesome :D And rather educational too, about Henry VIII's six wives: Catherine of Aragon, Katherine Howard, Katherine Parr, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves and Anne Boleyn. So many Katherine's and Anne's! I would be incredibly scared if I was one of Henry's wives, and if any I'd prefer to be Catherine, his first. I can't believe he would kill 4 of them, and then claim to have loved them, while still finding a new wife so soon. I liked the POV, as she wasn't really a lady-in-waiting, more of just a court lady. And I'm so pleased that she and Will got married :) Sad about the miscarriage, but surprising that her friend Kitty had like 4 consecutive children. Also that she was like 14/15 when she got pregnant the first time? That's so crazy, thinking that by my age (18) I would have at least one child. Such a different world we live in.

I believe Amanda is out and Maya said she was out as well. Are you all updating the spreadsheet or how are you tracking things? I have still been updating the spreadsheet. I will remove Teresa, Amanda and Maya.
With Maya not playing I don't think so. Let me look at the spreadsheet. I will post what everyone owns & you all can confirm.
If I linked to the spreadsheet at the top of the thread could you keep it updated when you get properties, Maddie?
What do you mean? Like I keep track of properties? Sure, as long as I know who owns what. Unless I have to go back and make a list myself.
I forgot to update it for a bit, so I went and added all my stuff. I think I did the Community Chest thing correctly?

Review: Gave this book 5 stars. Simply exceptional. It's not the first time I've read it, but it was still amazing. One thing I was surprised about though was that they didn't (view spoiler) in the book. Maybe I've just seen the movie too many times too and mixed them both up. That sucks :/ But anyway, I still loved this book :D Definitely recommend for everyone ever.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: This was a quick read. Interesting to read about the history of my country 80 years ago. Seems like such a hard life, even though it's not the worst I've read. Can't imagine being scared of earthquakes and avalanches all the time, and getting no sun during the winter. Or of freezing so much with only thin little blankets in the middle of winter. Really glad that Angela and the mum were okay throughout the pregnancy.
