Review: I have been meaning to read this book for ages and was so glad for the opportunity to do so. I saw so many 5 star reviews and I completely agree...this story is wonderful. I love the historical aspect and although the characters are very frustrating at times, I think Mitchell does an amazing job with writing realistic characters with realistic flaws and conflicts. Adding this to my favorites list!
So, I think that means I own Pacific as Maya has not claimed, right?! If I'm wrong just let me know.

I know...I pushed myself majorly for Carnies...REALLY need sleep now. Good night!!

too bad...we did too, by 1 point to MAYA's team :D

And that's too bad, Greta! By ONE point? Geez. That's rough.

too bad...we did too, by 1 point to MAYA's team :D"

Loved this novella from Maxon's point of view. Nice to see how he was feeling before The Selection started. Nice and sweet, and so good!

Starting Space: Just Visiting
Landing On: Community Chest
Community Chest Roll: 4 + 6 = 10
Community Chest 10: You Inherit $100 - Read a book that was given to you or with a character in it that has inherited something.

Oh, the fact that you can finish them at all means you have far more magic than me. ^_^

Book 1: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (shelved as "Library" 148 times) (review in comment 439)
Book 2: Resenting the Hero by Moira J. Moore (shelved as "Library" 9 times)
Review: That was definitely not what I was expecting after having read the back blurb. Thankfully, though, it was way better than what I expected. I really need to get through the rest of this series. The main character was kind of annoying for a big chunk of the book, blatantly refusing to treat her Source fairly, because of all the rumors she had heard about him, and because he was high-born and obviously that means that no matter how he acts, he can't be any different than her opinion of him before they even met. Talk a judgy, self-righteous bi... But again, thankfully, she started getting past that whole I-know-everything-no-matter-what attitude, and started realizing that if you decide about someone before even meeting them, that might not actually be what they're like. I was kind of hoping for a hint of romance before the end, but no such luck. Fingers crossed it'll be in the next one (because I am such a sucker for the trope of two people hating each other then falling in love later, I partially blame Inuyasha... and Moonlighting). Adored this book, and it totally earned all five of the stars I gave it.
And now, to go off and roll again. Whee... *prays to the Monopoly gods to not end up in Jail*

Landed On: Pennsylvania Avenue (owned by Amanda)
Pennsylvania Avenue - Part of a Series Shelf - Must read 2 book to own. Must read 4 books if the property is owned.
Sooooo.......... 4 books for rent? Yeep! At least it should be a somewhat easy shelf (I'm in the middle of a billion series at the moment, and have the first books for a billion others).

Well, in good news, the two books I need to read for the May Dusty Bookshelf challenge are both on that list. Motivation, methinks?

Review
Brittany is a senior in high school and is very popular. Despite what everyone thinks her life is less than perfect but she tries so hard to seem like all is good. Alex lives a very different life than Brittany he's in a gang. Also he tries to get his brothers to want more from their lives. Brittany and Alex have to pair up as partners in Chemistry where they both find out they may have a few things in common.
I really enjoyed this it was very emotional at times and many difficult choices had to be made. I liked the characters. I will probably read the rest of the series.

Task: Read a book from the 2010 shelf
How it Fits: 2010 Shelf
Rating: 4 stars
Read: 9/5/16
Review: I'm glad I re-read this book. I couldn't remember much about it. One thing I didn't like about it was the fact the main characters are so young. It's hard to relate to them when they're about 5 years younger than you. Also didn't like how the one not narrating would butt in with a little comment. It frustrated me and seemed a little immature. I did like the creativity though, despite the fact it seemed a little unbelievable at times. But who would've guessed that they're both really powerful magicians? I don't even need to put that in spoilers. I reckon no one would've been able to guess that because that like never happens! Ugh. And I kept getting Zia and Bast's descriptions mixed up. Apart from those little points, I rather liked the book.

GO- any book over 200 pages

I absolutely love this series and think in the jump in time between the first three books in the series to book 4 is so inventive. I enjoyed the characters, the evolution of the magic system and the plot. My only wish was for MORE!! I would have liked more details, more information about the new world, more character interaction. What we got was wonderful, but I can't get enough :D

I will do a tally here shortly.

VampAmber-5
Amanda- 4
Maya-4
Delitealex- 3
Greta- 3
Teresa- 3
Maddie- 0
