What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book) - Part 2
Ryan wrote: "I'm reading it right now Diana. How do you feel about basing it around the clash between a female Rudd and a male Gillard?"I'm enjoying it. I love the 'locked in' storyline.

Had a quick glance at the reviews for this one and it sounds very good :)"
This is one I picked up from Tracey at the Melbourne Meet Up.

Good to hear Jools!!
I'm reading Sourdough by Robin Sloan. Not sure yet if it's as good as Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore but I'm really enjoying it so far.
Currently reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (year 4)A bit of background:
All heck broke out after the Weasley's, Harry, and Hermione went to a World Cup Quidditch game. People are sending Howlers to the Ministry of Magic.
"Why are they sending Howlers?" asked Ginny.
"Complaining about security at the World Cup," said Percy.
"They want compensation for their ruined properly. Mundungus Fletcher's put in a claim for a twelve-bedroomed tent with an en-suite Jacuzzi, but I've got his number. I know for a fact he was sleeping under a cloak propped up on sticks."
Li'l Owl wrote: "So adorable, Sally! I'll be awaiting your review! Yours sounds excellent as well Kylie!
I can foresee two more TBR in my future! =o)"
Owl, it was pretty good, I was really enjoying it by the end - but it did take a little while to get into. And haha, I'm so far behind with my reviews, I think I've got 5 books (at least!) to do!
So pleased to see that you're getting back into reading Jools, especially with your crook eye, I can certainly empathise with you. :) xo
Currently listening to At Home with the Templetons by Monica McInerney. Love the narrator on this one!
Not long ago I enjoyed A Gentleman in Moscow which featured the essays of Michel de Montaigne being enjoyed by a young girl. Now I have finished How to Stop Time which featured, you guessed it, the essays of Michel de Montaigne being enjoyed by a young girl.

Good to know Kylie. I try not to put off doing reviews but I still struggle with them so I'd rather do them sooner rather than later. =o)
I'm reading No Limits by Ellie Marney This was rejected by the author's publisher so she self published. Seriously, it's so good.
I just finished I Know A Secret in which there's a wrongful accusation of paedophilia. Then finished Dirty Old Man in which there's a wrongful accusation of paedophilia.
Weird!

I just finished it. It was a much meatier book than the 'Every' series. Great book.
About to start The Guy, the Girl, the Artist and His Ex
Just picked up
Three Sisters, Three Queens by Philippa Gregory - one of my favourite historical writers - and the Tudor period is my favourite period. So hopefully this combination will result in a jolly good read.

I'm reading Going Home for the Spring Challenge. It's set in a pet rescue and told from the animals POV. It's sweet.
Marianne wrote: "I'm just 100 pages into The Last Hours and it's very good so far. I think you'll like it, Brenda..."
Oh that's good to hear Marianne! Thanks :)

I've just started The Scent of You by Maggie Alderson. I saw Maggie speak about this book at the Writers Festival and wanted to read it.
@Krystal. I am not one who is obsessed with reading in order so probably not the best person to ask. Her Tudor series certainly can be read in any order. There are lots of characters that appear in each book. Often it is the different perspectives which add to the story. The way I look at it, they are real historical characters so there will be no spoilers. 😃
Brenda - hope you still have "flipper" the coin :) Can't decide between
The Choke by Sofie Laguna OR
Amber and Alice by Janette Paul
Sharon wrote: "Thank you, Brenda and Flipper 😊"Hehe, I love it! lol ;)
I'm currently about 20% into The Secret of Happy Ever After by Lucy Dillon.
Currently reading Match Up
which is an anthology of Mystery/Thriller short stories all written by 2 authors who have teamed up and written the story together as well as both including some of their more well known characters. For Example - Diana Gabaldon is paired with Steve Berry for their story where Jamie Fraser meets Cotton Malone & Kathy Reichs is paired with Lee Child and their story has Temperance Brennan & Jack Reacher teaming up.
Its a bit different & a good way to try some new authors
Just about to start Fish Change Direction in Cold Weather by Pierre Szalowski This a French-Canadian bestseller

I've been seeing Jane Harper all over the media this week, so I've finally decided to read The Dry - expecting big things!
I finally got round to reading The Alice Network by Kate Quinn and am enjoying it very much. Just post WWII an American girl goes looking for her favourite cousin who disappeared in France, with the help of an ex-WWI/II female spy.

Really good books Ryan!

Bizarre certainly describes it 😀
Today I've started The Man Who Loved Books Too Much by Allison Hoover Bartlett It's narrative non fiction about a rare books thief and the book dealer who hunted him down.
Brenda wrote: "Sounds interesting Diana!"When I went to the author talk about libraries, this book was mentioned. It's described as the true story of a thief, a detective and a world of literary obsession.
