That's fantastic guys!!! We can certainly compare notes, though I'm not sure when I'll get to my copy!
Picked up a book at the Salvos yesterday. The lady told me it was in a 10 for $2 offer and she didn't know how to price it. I offered her $2 for it but she put it through for their lowest price $1.25The Cold Cold Ground by Adrian McKinty

Good to hear. I am currently reading one I won last year Fortune's Son. It seems to have good reviews and I am liking it. I'm trying to catch up on the ones I won last year and didn't get to.
The book whisperer went out today to support Vinnies and Salvos:The Big Drop for just $1
I Am, I Am, I Am: Seventeen Brushes With Death on my wishlist, looks unread! $3
and because they were so cheap $2 each, I'll bring them to the next get together
The Chessmen for Phrynne if she doesn't have it yet
Freeze Frame for Brenda if she wants it
The Trespasser $2 for me also on my wishlist
Phrynne wrote: "Thanks for thinking about me Marianne! I don’t have it :)"I saw you hadn't read it, and it was just so cheap, I took a chance.

by Brené Brown which I'm very much looking forward to reading for my individual, self development challenge!
Spent an Amazon voucher I received for Christmas from one of my daughters and purchased:-East West Street: On the Origins of "Genocide" and "Crimes Against Humanity" by Philippe Sands

Brenda wrote: "I do get more from them than any other publisher Marianne :)"you are very lucky, Brenda. They must like your reviews.
Went to the library to print and picked up The Woman Who Walked in Sunshine by Alexander McCall Smith I think I'm nearly up to date with this series.
I was given Lincoln In the Bardo for Christmas.
Just finished it. First 20 or so pages were a bit tough but otherwise thought it was amazing. Am now doing a reread of
by Colleen McCullough which I found in my mum's bookcase yesterday.

[book:The Good Mothe..."I am having a good run -2 books from Goodreads so far this year. back to work tomorrow after 18 weeks long service leave and holidays so that will slow the reading.
Brenda wrote: "18 weeks!!! Wow that'll be hard to return from Noelene! And yes, 2 already - pretty amazing!"Work for six months this year then have a year off on long service leave. The beauty of being able to take your leave at half pay, tack on holidays etc. and not using much long service leave in a 37 year career. So it is even harder working this six months with that to look forward. Oh the reading I have planned. Shelf is starting to get full.
