Carolyn | 9847 comments I've been approved by Netgalley for The Fragments by Toni Jordan The Fragments by Aussie Author Toni Jordan (Text Publishing, 20 Sept).

Should be a good one to add to the Red section of the Colours annual challenge :)

I think you'd enjoy them - light and entertaining, set in Australia.

I was thinking Lifel1k3 might work for the Orange section of the Colours challenge. What do you think Marianne - is the cover 50% orange or too brown?

message 5154: by Marianne (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9980 comments Carolyn, my cover only has a tiny bit of orange, but the honeycomb one, Tin Eye can't find any orange at all, lots of brown :(

I just received from Simon & Schuster The Woman From Saint Germain by J.R. Lonie The Woman From Saint Germain by J.R. Lonie I really like the way they've done the cover with the black and white background, and her coat and hat the deep red. It's quite stunning :)

And I had a naughty splurge this morning - my first in ages!! (and I'm trying to get rid of books!)

The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff
The Chef by James Patterson The Chef by James Patterson
Never Tell (Detective D.D. Warren, #10) by Lisa Gardner Never Tell by Lisa Gardner
The Wedding Guest (Alex Delaware, #34) by Jonathan Kellerman The Wedding Guest by Jonathan Kellerman

I left one other there that was asking me to pick it up ;)

It was a great day. I’m not a huge romance reader but Kelly Rimmer, Jodi Perry and Alli Sinclair were there so I was happy.

I haven't read Jodi's work but enjoy Kelly and Alli's. So yes, it would have been worth it 😊

message 5182: by Marianne (new)

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9980 comments Yes, Phrynne, considering it's last year's, but maybe the library can't stock it if it's got water damage. Doesn't bother me though, it's not much or smelly or anything.
I have most of her Ruth Galloway books, on the strength of one Christmas freebie, but still to get to them....
and have read two of her Stephens & Mephitso series.

I was told the police could track it with a serial number so I swung by the local police station after work today. They couldn't actually track it but guess what was hanging out in their lost property!! Couldn't believe it!! Someone handed it in!!
