Come visit anytime Veronica!! I'll show you around :)
FINALLY I finished Glass Sword! (for hand 1) I have posted my review. I am now starting Break of Day (for hand 2). I will look around to pick my third book and get back with you soon.thanks
Hey everyone!I know that UNO is super fun and everyone is busy reading, but I hope you haven't forgotten to stop by and share your passion for books. You don't need to share anything profound or long. Your fellow book lovers are looking for any book memory you are willing to share with us!
For Hand Four I want to read "The Milliner's Secret" by Natalie Meg Evans. This can be used for the 2 card or the Wild Card. (Title starts with "T") also Character name "Tilly". Please let me know if the 2 cards have been spoken for in hand 4 please
I will be doing the Vampire Academy for my book for card 7 in the 4th hand, I believe it is. Just thought I'd let you guys know! :)
Hello,I noticed the books I planned to read to correspond to the game and hand was shifted to other hands. For example, I posted Pretty Girls for the SKIP card in hand one and Hidden Bodies for hand two's Skip Card. Now these books are in different hands with different cards. Is this common practice? If so, then does it make sense to plan or list the books one want to read for the hands requested? I may just post the book I am reading and have it placed where its needed ...if it is needed.
That's what I did Veronica. It's hard to keep up with and I'm sure it's much harder for the moderators. Point is we as a team are getting our books and our cards done ;-)
Ok. So there is a chance my books may not even be used. So in the future I will not plan out the books. I will just post them with options and then it can be places accordingly. I am in other challenges and buddy reads, and I can use those books for the game.Thanks.
Where else do you play? This was my first time playing. Where else can you play! As you know ...me and reading :-)
I am not playing Uno anywhere else. I'm other groups where there are different challenges. Or we pick out a book everyone likes in that particular group and we do a buddy read. Its pretty cool.
So hand Six has Card #9 and since I am about to finish my Card #5 book, if no one else is using that card I would like to have it. I want to read All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. N for Nine :)Please and thank you :)
Thank you everyone who has shared your book memories with us. I decided they were so good we needed to make them into a mini challenge. This mini challenge is an optional part of uno and run March 14th to March 31st, check it out here
Good question. The sheet has not been updated. I finished my books for hand 1 and 2. And still not reflected.
The same here. I am almost done with book 2 and want to pick a book that can boost our scores. Look like others are winning. LOL
Finished Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes. 4.0 stars. This book would make you empathize, sympathize and actually like the bad guy. I couldnt put it down. Excellent read.
This is to fulfill Hand 5, Skip card.
I am starting Opening Belle
Hey guys! Sorry for being MIA, islands and Internet sometimes don't mix and ours has been wonky the last few days. How's everyone doing? I'm going to go back through the messages now. Still plodding along on my book, it's good thus far!Xx
Hello Team Kitty!!Thank you for the wonderful book memories. I'm Laura, captain from Team Star Trek. I finished my book Eternal Kiss of Darkness today. I chose one of Team Kitty's memories because like one of you I often choose my books (like this one above) based on the synopsis.
Happy reading to you all:-)

G'Day Team KittySally from The Muppets here.
This memory: I used to believe I only wanted to read serial crime novels. The more gruesome and descriptive the better but somehow over the years I have broadened my interests. I enjoy a variety of books now. Crime (fiction or true), Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Smut, Romance, Historical fiction, Biographies
Inspired me to read
Space Hostages by Sophia McDougall which fits Sci-Fi :)
Is Rachelle still playing? I haven't seen any posts from her in a while. We still need her book finished. Can we plug another book in that spot to get hand one complete?
Hello Team Hello Kitty! This is your March mini-challenge visit from Team Doctor WhoYour memory about the library connects to my reading Ink and Bone the first book in the Great Library Series.
Memory:
♥
Then when I moved to the US and learned English.... and worked at a library for five years .. I was like a kid at a candy store. haha. I loved every minute of it. Some of the books that I read in the past I really liked were: The Master and Margarita, The Harry Potter series, The Hunger Games series ,The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Giver series. to name just a few that come to mind as I type this.
Lately I have been more into the mystery and thriller or fantasy/ sci fi genres.
I just wanted to let you know that I finished the champion by Marie lu tonight. I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I got the stomach flu 2 weeks ago and haven't fully recovered. So, my reading is a bit slow. I will be starting on hand 4 tomorrow, which I believe I have card 7.
Please welcome new team member Ashley! All books she has read that were started after the March 1 deadline count :)
Hi Team Hello Kitty, I'm visiting from Team Batman :)♥ I read for a lot of Arabic writers (since Arabic is my first language) like Naguib Mahfouz, Youssef Al-Sebai يوسف السباعي, Ihsaan Abdulqdous إحسان عبد القدوس, Nizaar Qabbani نزار قباني, Ghadda Al-Samman غادة السمان. I also read translated books by Russian authors like Nikolai Gogol, and Maxim Gorky
For this memory I read Timeless by Gail Carriger. I connected the two as the MC's in this book travels to Egypt and meets Arabic speaking vampires. (Who then later on will be relocated and forced to learn English)
Greetings Hello Kitty from the land of Oz!
In honor of one of your members who loves Sci-Fi, I've read Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. I absolutely loved it, so thank you so much for sharing your memory with me. :)
I don't know how you guys want to do this, but I've read 3 books since March 1st. I've read See Me by Nicholas Sparks so that would work for 0(Stand alone), 9(Author) or 6(title). I read Where We Belong by Emily Giffin works for 8(Author), 9(location is New York), Skip(Main character is Kirby), or 0(stand alone). I also read When in Doubt Add Butter by Beth Harbison which only works with 3(author) or 0(Stand Alone). I am currently reading Vanishing Acts by Jodi Picoult which would work for a 7(title). I am also reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes which would work for 1 because it is the first of a two book series.

hey that's Me:)
Hello! I'm stopping over from Team Glee for the mini challenge. The first book I can remember reading without being forced was in the 4th or 5th grade. I picked up the book "Tiger Eyes" by Judy Blume in our school library. [...] I enjoy a variety of books now. Crime (fiction or true), Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Smut, Romance, Historical fiction, Biographies.
The Unreal and the Real: Selected Stories, Volume One: Where on Earth
Connection: Ursula is a big name in the Sci-Fi and fantasy genres, but her works have a wide variety of genres inside each one, which is why I enjoy her work so much
Hi Team Hello Kitty. Stoping in from Team PeanutsMemory •
♥ The first book I can remember reading without being forced was in the 4th or 5th grade. I picked up the book "Tiger Eyes" by Judy Blume in our school library. I couldn't even tell you why, I wasn't into reading for fun or anything and I don't remember regularly checking out books. Anyway I fell in love with it. I continued to read every now and then but was not completely addicted to books Until around 2009 when my then boyfriend (now husband) wanted me to ride in a golf cart and watch him play golf....ahhh sooo much fun yeah right, so of course I asked him to stop at the Grocery Store thought I would grab a magazine or something but I ended up buying a paperback titled "The Other Daughter" by Lisa Gardner. Let me tell you I was hooked from page one! My boyfriend throughout the day would say something like wow did you see that shot?" And I would respond with "sssshhhhhhh I'm trying to read!" That book relit my flame for reading and I have been a die hard reader ever since.
I used to believe I only wanted to read serial crime novels. The more gruesome and descriptive the better but somehow over the years I have broadened my interests. I enjoy a variety of books now. Crime (fiction or true), Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Smut, Romance, Historical fiction, Biographies..... I guess now I would have to say if the synopsis grabs my attention I will try it. I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhanger endings. (to be honest on more than one occasion I may have gotten to the end of a book with a cliff hanger and if the next book isn't out yet and available for purchase I may have cussed a bit and created new cuss words.!)
Book read •
The Golden Dynasty
Date read • 17 March
How books connects to memory • Fantasy and Romance as main genre
Lisa wrote: "Is anyone updating the spreadsheet??"I was concerned about the same thing. I don't know what to read next. The way its going I am just going to ready anything and hope it will satisfy one of the hands
I just finished All the Bright Places for card #9 in Hand six. I really liked the book even though it was sad and depressing because it dealt with the issue of teen suicide. I'm going to do the mini challenge and read a book with my daughter Winnie-the-Pooh for either a skip ( P for Pooh) or a reverse is anybody else has read the book before.
Hello team Hello kitty,I read Prince of Spies . It fits with your first memory. It is in the realm of Fantasy. If you guys are looking for a great fantasy series give it a shot.
I'm back home tomorrow evening so will update the spreadsheet then and let everyone know where we are.
Pigletto wrote: "I'm back home tomorrow evening so will update the spreadsheet then and let everyone know where we are."Thank You
Hello everyone, I am about to start reading The Big Bad Wolf by James Patterson so that's either a skip card for Paterson's "P" or a #9 because the book is #9 in the Alex Cross series.
Happy Reading!!
Hi! I'm stopping over from Team Mario Bros because I just read P.S. I Still Love You and it connects with one of your memories because in the memory s/he mentions her/his boyfriend and I read this with my boyfriend. The memory:

I've read The Revenant by Michael Punke. Fantastic read, not normally my style book but now in my favorites list!! I suggest if you haven't read this revenge novel that's a true story ......jump on it....the bear mauling scene about got me, I was hiding under the cover and still reading with a flashlight. Silly, I know. But this is truly an amazing tale of one man that should be dead but is so angry he refuses death until he sees revenge!! You can play the books whichever spot you need :-)~ Janet
I'm half way through Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Mayberry if you want to stick that book someplace, and I also finished Lost and Found by Brooke Davis. Again, this book I can not recommend enough. Imagine being a small girl. You can't even take care of yourself. And your mom drives away and leaves you. But it's ok because you're brave and inventive. And then there's the old lady who hates everybody that lives across who is watching but refusing to help.......or maybe that's not QUITE how it goes, and the grumpy old man who again talks to no one ......well maybe that's not QUITE true either........what a journey this book takes, to find love, to find peace, and to challenge what IS a family. I'd recommend EVERYONE read it. There are some of the ones I've finished and some I am reading. Since I am just out of the hospital I have lots of time to read which is what I do. I have 4 more books I have read if we need them for cards anywhere else. Just let me know.
~ Janet
I've also finished The Forgetting Time by Sharon Guskin. Again not my typical read, but I have fallen IN LOVE with this book. Magical and beautifully written, I again recommend this as a fast fabulous read. Again you can use it wherever, I won't have my internet fixed until today sometime so I'm using my phone to check in. I hope all is well with you all. ~ Janet
Posting for my team member Brittany: she read Prince of Spies to go with the memory relating to fantasy!
