What Else To Read?

I've already read all of Weber's books (like some more than others) and I'm looking for new authors to try out. I've also read Mike Shepherd's Kris Longknife series and several of John Ringo's books. What other books and authors are there to read with similar themes and the epic space opera experience?

I found an e book series starting with "terms of enlistment" by Marko Kloos......absolutely riveting.
I didnt like the way it ended, but the whole story sucks you up like Orson Scott Card's "Ender's Game". I read the whole series in less than two days.

Well, you can try:
- Jack Campbells Lost Fleet series Dauntless
- H. Paul Honsinger Man of War trilogy To Honor You Call Us
- or John Scalzi Old Man's War series Old Man's War

I really liked:

- Elliot Kay's "Poor Man's Fight" series
- Marko Kloos's "Frontlines"

And you have probably already read:

- James S.A. Corey's "Expanse" series

Natasha I read ALL of Marko Kloos' books within two days while juggling my three young boys. Highly reccomend them, even to non-space story lovers, its one of ...more

Tanya Huff's Torin Kerr Books might be something.

Starting with:
Valor's Choice

There is a series by Ian Douglas actually I think two or three by him.

He seems to be more a hard SF-space opera writer.

I am surprised David Drake isn't listed here already.

L.E. Doggett And did someone mention David Drake He has out a good series or two.

Elizabeth Moon's Vatta's War series should fit nicely.

Given that Honor Harrington is an omage to Horatio Hornblower, I would give C. S. Forester at least a quick look.
