It had a very interesting and probably one of the most creative ideas for a magic system where people in this alternate version of Los Angeles were able to eat/consume bones of ancient creatures or other people to obtain powers. I thought it was pretty solid and I'm trying to decide whether I want to read the sequel.
I'll give it a try. Probably won't get around to it for a while, but I'll put it on my to-read list.

Unfortunately, my library only has one copy.
Thanks for the help.
By the way, how is your challenge going (if you're doing one)?
