This is my first time with this challenge, so I'd rather not be Captain. I'm looking forward to making a dent in my TBR pile though.
I read all types of genres, so you will see quite a mix.

Where is everyone from?
I am from CA and I cant be the captain. Law school/work/wedding I barely sleep.

I'm from Upstate New York and a retired librarian. I babysit my grandson 2 days a week and am doing a massive weeding of my book collection in prep for a move. Where did they all come from?!
Hi everyone , this is my first time with this challenge .

I am from pa and a stay at home mom i go to bed early so I couldn't roll by midnight but I could be a captain if needed
I have books everywhere too! Bookshelf, totes, and I have over 1,500 kindle books not read.. I need to make a dent!!!

We need to get a Captain picked and a name.
Last time this was played it looked like the winning team was Lucky 13. Do you think if we picked that name we could continue their lucky streak?
We are cruising the Caribbean in March so I will have internet access throughout but not enough to be able to take on Captain duties.
Lucky 13 is a really nice name.

Thanks, Kme_17 and Amy for taking our lead and I hope Lucky 13 is lucky for us.

This was a very great holiday romance book. this was the typical chick-lit book. so if you are looking to cuddle and read a cozy romance then this book is for you..
this story starts off kind of sad, Katie is getting ready to leave her apartment and go see her family for Christmas. she is not looking forward to it and if she didn't hurry she was going to miss her bus. since it was a blizzard going on the bus driver hit a parked car and now the bus is at a stand still till morning. they all had to find a hotel which will be hard due to it being Christmas eve.
as Katie gets to a hotel it was of course sold out, but it was welcomed with hot drinks and conversation. that was until she met Alex. he was also stopped for the storm, but was going to continue driving anyway. he offered Katie to ride with him. She didn't know if she wanted to do so because she is not one to take risks. She did what any person would do. she called his family. After getting that he is not a murder speech she decided to take him up on eh offer to ride with him. they both had horrible conversations with each other, but found themselves stranded when the highway is closed. they ended up spending the night together in the hotel.. no sex included!
now every year this too will meet up on Christmas and spend time together. It didn't matter if they were in a relationship or decided that they weren't going to meet up, something always ended up bringing them together. the funny thing was that they never talked to each other after Christmas. it was a one time of the year thing. it got so serious that each of their family has met each other and loves them both! they both will not go into a romantic relationship in fear that they would ruin their friendship.
will they ever decided to get together? will fate just come together for these too. or will Alex get is dream job and call it quits for good...

Book: The Perfect Christmas by Debbie Macomber

Cassie Beaumont, 34, is hearing her biological clock ticking and when an old friend sends a family photo Christmas card with a letter outlining the perfect life, she determines to take action. Her best friend tells her about an expensive matchmaking psychologist who will find you the most suitable match. Simon Dodson is rude and arrogant when they meet, but he gives her some insights into herself that she can't argue. After a second meeting he says he has the man for her but she needs to perform 3 tasks to confirm his judgment of her. She needs to be a bell ringer for charity, an elf at the Santa visiting station in the Mall, and invite her neighbors to a Christmas dinner. As she progresses through these interesting activities she finds herself drawn to a very resisting Simon. This was a cute and comforting holiday story.

I'll go with the author "M" and choose

While I liked this book I saw major problems as far as the main couple future relationship goes that were never mentioned let alone addressed. So she is a human with cancer who decides to be turned into a vampire. As the story develops she meets and falls for a human single dad. No am I the only one seeing the obvious problem between the whole vampire/human long term relationship. For part of the book I thought he was going to end up being a werewolf which could solve the problem. But the never happens so where exactly is this couple going to be in 30 years when he is 60ish and she is still looking like she is in her thirties?

Sorry, down with a migraine all day yesterday. (I wasn't on GRs.) But, I am here now. What do I need to do?

Does that work?

I'm from California. I was born in Texas, but I've lived here since before I was one.
I just moved to the Napa area, after living in San Jose (Silicon Valley) since 1977. I "downsized" my house when I moved (OMG!) this year. After whittling down my books (making sure to give some "to good homes"), I still managed to pack 40 (yes, forty!) boxes of them. Yes, a lot are cookbooks or reference books; but, there are a ton of Romance (Romanticismo) & Mystery (Mistero), too.
This is my first time with this challenge and I'm excited to join you all.

I am going to San Jose to try on wedding dresses! I live in Pacific Grove.

I am in the process of moving also and downsizing. I have been giving away so many books; have 35 boxes packed already and three more bookcases to go through. This is so hard!!
We're not making a long distance move; hope to stay in the same town, just smaller and one level. The goal is to put the house up in April and move this summer.

The Challenge Factory: Round 7 Super Series Challenge > R7: SS "Lucky 13"
Week: #1
Spot: #7 in a series (or "M" author)

Love this series so much that it was hard for me not to read them all in a row, gobbling them all down too fast, when I first discovered it. It is nice to get back to it with this one, as it is a “reunion” installment, with past characters all showing up.
The first couple, Hannah & Drew Callahan, from #1-Just This Once, are my all-time favorite couple and are expecting another baby. Drew is determined to be there for this one, having missed the delivery of their first two. He is so tender, sweet, and caring-and loves his wife & family. But there is plenty of sexy steam here, too. Hugh and Josie from #6-Just Not Mine, another personal favorite couple, are days away from getting married, and everyone plans on being at the celebration.
This isn't a book with which to start this wonderful series; however, it is a nice little peek into what's happening with these eight couples. One neat thing is you get a few “memorial moments” for each couple in flashbacks, but from a different POV.
Listened to this one via audible.com and was very nicely narrated by Claire Bocking, who does the entire series. She switches seamlessly between her Kiwi accents and the American accents, while still differentiating the multiple players, so you have no difficulty deciphering who's talking.

let me know if you need help linking our reviews for the roll on friday

This was a cute read. A very fluffy romance. It was just a sweet romance. I really enjoyed this characters at the end. In the beginning I hated Blake Donovan. However I think that is what the author wanted. I did love Andrea Dawson. Just a wonderful romance all in all. Great for those looking for a fluffy romance.
