You could read a book 1 if you wanted. I believe we can read book 1 or 2 or a title starting with L.

Maddison,
Can you follow the format I laid out for the teams, at least as close to it as you can? It helps me with verifying your teams post

This week, I'll be finishing one of these books for certain, it just depends which one grabs me:
The Ask and the Answer for #2 in a series
or
The Last Leaves Falling for Title L.

yes. your review is good, that's why i told the team to go ahead because the content is fine.
So when you get a chance, just format it, okay?
Good night

I'm 11% through King of Thorns, but it'll take me a bit to read it. I should get it done this week though. I've got to for it to count and to not let the team down.
Week 2:
Spot: 12 or alternate: Title L
Book: The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers by Angie Fox
Qualification: Demon Slayer series # 2
Finished: 1/23/16
Rating & Review: ★★★★
I loved this funny and very entertaining book. Once again, I loved the Jack Russell (who doesn't love a talking dog?). I did feel that Lizzie tried to do much on her own and it nearly destroyed her. There wasn't enough of the biker witches, Dmitri(the hot Griffen) or Pirate (the lovable and talkative Jack Russell). It was still action packed enough for me to enjoy it. I hope the next book has more of the other characters and not Lizzie trying to go solo.

Book: Given the Circumstances by Brad Vance
Qualification: Standalone
Finished: 1/24/16
Rating & Review: ★★★★★
I can't believe that it has been nearly two years since I last read this book. It defiantly top three in athletes trope story fav. list for me. This has be my third read through still have lots of love for this book. So much but enough back history and how it shape them in the present. Love that the sex scene were funny but still hot. I always highly recommend this book.
I finished my book. Will post review when I get home tonight.
Week 2
Spot: 12
Book read:
The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson
Series: The Remnant Chronicles, Book 2
Date finished : 01/25/16
Rating: ★★★
Review: Lia, Rafe, and Kaden now find themselves in Venda with Lia held captive and Rafe playing the role of an emissary from his home country. Their love triangle now turns into some sort of love square with the Komizar getting in on the action and telling Lia that he is going to marry her. Meanwhile Pauline and Gwyneth go back to Lia's homeland to enlist the King & Queen's help in rescuing Lia. This sequel was just as drawn out as the first book, but it did have good moments, and it held my interest for the most part. So I will check out the next book when it is released this year to see how everything ends for Lia and who she ends up with.

Nicole, I loved The Ask and the Answer! Books 2 & 3 were so much better than book 1 in that trilogy. I hope you read it eventually if you're not reading it this week!

Review:
I loved this book even more than the first and so glad I finally got around to reading it. I am loving how strong Ella has become and how she realizes she is more than a pet. This book was more gritty than the first one but I think that was the appeal to it. You really got to see how people felt about pets and how little they thought of them. That ending got me though and now I can't wait for book 3.

We could use our free pass, but I don't know if we can only have one missing review rather than two missing if we use it.

How It Fits 2nd in series
Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite new adult authors. This is the second book in her Slammed series. In the first book when Lake, who just lost her father met Will he was already raising his little brother and struggling with working and going to college. By the end of the book Lake lost her mother to cancer and was in the same position as Will. When this books starts they are both facing the reality being young and both raising their little brothers and going to college.
An old flame comes back into will’s life. He soon discovers that all she wants to do is cause problems and manipulate him. The sad part is Lake winds up questioning why they are even together and if Will truly loves her. He has to work hard to prove that he loves her and not because of like circumstances throwing them together.
This is a story of love being testing, growing and defining what a family is. I love Will’s slam professing his love for Lake. I can’t wait to complete this trilogy.
