Wow! She has really been having a tough time. You know what they say ... life is what happens while you were making other plans.

She's a really strong woman but everyone has a breaking point. That final book is going to be spectacular.

Thank you for this suggestion. Have not read Iris Johansen for years.

I missed this comment Jonetta! Now you hooked me, and am excited to read another good series.

Loved it, Maggie. But then - I loved every single book. lol

I found this slow to start, but was glad I hung in there to finish this first book in the Farseer Trilogy.
I finished The Secrets She Kept by Brenda Novak, Fairham Island #2, and while I had some mixed feelings about it, the story was emotionally realistic. Here's my review.
I'm now reading The Candidate's Daughter by Catherine Lea.

Lynne I love the Will Trent Series! I cant wait to read The Kept Woman! You have a lot of good reading ahead of you.

Would love to have coffee with DCI Kim Stone. She's as sarcastic and cynical as me.

One of my favorite series! I'm waiting for the release of The Kept Woman in Sept. (in U.S.)

Such an awesome series - looks like you're reading straight through, Maggie! I'm waiting on the next release.

I understand. I read them "one-a-month" with other books in between...that way I kept the plot lines clear in my head and yet got a break with some lighter reads mixed in.
