I just finished listening to Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys and I'm speechless and a bit shell shocked. I hope you'll read my review. I'm embarrassed to admit I was unaware of this part of history.

Kirsten (kmcripn) Just finished listening to the The Guns of August by Barbara W. Tuchman The Guns of August by Barbara W. Tuchman. An incredible book about the lead up and first month of World War I. So many mistakes were made that led not just to deaths of this war, but also the mistakes in the peace (not covered here) led to death in World War II as well as the Balkan wars and the Middle East. A lot can be laid at the feet of the arrogant leaders in August 1914.

To the Edge is the weakest book in the series, Quynh. I thought the books got stronger as the series progressed.
