by Stacy Schiff.
The non-fiction tome is a thorough exposition of what happened during the Salem witch frenzy of 1692. The book is overly dense and too long, but the author's prodigious research and the interesting story rate 4 stars from me.

It's such a fantastic series! I love Harry Bosch... he's so awesome. It stinks such a great man has to fight such a screwed up system to get justice... But, I love that he always gets justice (well.... so far as I've read in the series) for the victims and their families. He's so great... I wish he was real.

A personal favorite of mine, one of the few books I reread every so often. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre, but I loved Dune.

Speak which is a YA book about a 13 year old girl who hides inside herself after being raped. It tells of her quiet 9th grade year in school as she is shunned by others without her being able to speak up and tell people what happened to her.
Last night I finished Infidel which is an amazing story of a very brave woman. My review:

They are. The challenge is about controversial issues.

That was a difficult book to read. The high school my daughter went to picked it as the book to read and discuss with family and teachers. Yeah, it was tough.
I finally finished Days of Rage: America's Radical Underground, the FBI, and the First Age of Terror -- I need a while to think it over before coming to any conclusions.
For relax purposes, I'm reading Betty Boo, by Claudia Pineiro, a crime novel from Argentina.

I am now readingA Perfect Evil
I've just finished Betty Boo, by Claudia Pineiro. Her work is a great example of how, in the right hands, plot becomes secondary to everything else while still remaining the centerpiece.

Mystery writer Jerry Grey has early-onset Alzheimer's Disease and confuses his real life with the murders in his books. Good psychological thriller. 3.5 stars.

This is my second John Bude novel, and I am now a firm fan.
He writes with a light hand, adept characterisation, and a dry sense of humour.
Death on the Riviera starts with the secondment of Detective Inspector Meredith to the French Riviera where a counterfeit currency racket has been linked to an Englishman, Chalky Cobbett, a well known crook and forger.
Aided by Sergeant Strang and Inspector Blampignon, Meredith follows the clues to Villa Paloma, the residence of an eccentric Englishwoman and her odd assortment of guests. There is smuggling, a clandestine love affair, a wronged husband, a cad, and, of course, a body.
This is a highly enjoyable classic murder mystery.
Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the gift of an ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I like the cover a lot. Based on your rec and the description, I'm picking it up from my local library. Can't wait to dig in to it!

Enjoy! I hope you Like it! I agree about the cover. It's a nice one

Just starting

I'm starting The "Double Indemnity" Murder: Ruth Snyder, Judd Gray, and New York's Crime of the Century, which is the case that Cain's Double Indemnity was sort of based on.

So I've heard. It is inspired by events in occurring in Smith's family.

Haven't read Trust No One but Paul Cleave's The Cleaner and Joe Victim are hilarious. If your husband likes some humor in his thriller I highly recommend.

Let me know. I'm not a thriller person so I rely on opinions of people who enjoy them. "
I'll let you know how I like it Nancy.
