Great mystery, well written as usual, however the last few book in the series lacked significant appearance of some of my favorite characters. Mick Ballou and Danny Boy Bell.
Any one else agree/disagree?

I thought this book was pretty good

And currently reading

It is part of the Sebastian St. Cyr series, set in early 19th century London. The blurb describes an aristocrat(St. Cyr) on the trail of a serial killer.
Maureen, both my wife and I like Konrath's books.

oh how i didnt know he had a new book out. mark as to read i really love his books!

This was my first time reading Harlan Coben. If all his books are this good, I've got a lot of catching up to do.
Finished No Orchids for Miss Blandish. This is raw and edgy crime. Whoa.
There's a note that says that the edition I read was updated for modern readers -- how dumb. Why not just reprint the original? So now I think I need to find a copy that hasn't been altered.
Updated: found it -- 1948 The Villain and the Virgin. Mine.

and
and
and
- the two by Kait Carson are cozies and the Double books by Gretchen Archer are humorous mysteries. The Carson books are tied closely with her own paralegal profession and passion for scuba diving and are set in the Keys. The diving details can be a bit tedious, but the mysteries both have surprising endings. The books by Gretchen Archer are a bit more polished, but her style can be distracting at times. Choppy with lots of asides, but solid entertainment and sound plots for lighter mysteries.
Changing pace and going to
I need some mayhem.

Changing pace and going to

I recently finished The Hanging Valley and it was good, and you won't guess who is the culprit in F Is For Fugitive

My Review
Just started reading

Well, I have started The First Hostage but then Jana DeLeon went and released Fortune Hunter in ebook today and I love this series. But like every series that hits around 8 books, this one started switching gears in Hurricane Force and trended that way here, making it more about Fortune and Carter than the adventures of Ida Belle Gerti and Fortune. It's also getting more into the romance drama and away from the humor, which feels more like a strained afterthought here. I figured out who did by about a quarter of the way through, even before the murder. Gets a C - 3* but Sinful lovers will give it 5* regardless. Now, back to The First Hostage.

I just finished Fool Me Once which was my first by Harlan Coben and I loved it!

I thought the book was an excellent overview of the subject with lots of interesting and relevant examples. 5 stars.

Carol, after reading your review I put this on my TBR list....but I'm not sure I'll be able to read it since what happened in The Dinner did bother me a lot. Still...you make the book sound so intriguing....... :)

Both of these book were really amazing! I liked them a lot!
The story lines were really adictive in both of these books & the writing was just amazing!
The never list tells the story about a girl that was traped in a basement of a house that belongs to a sadistic maniac! It was really intense and i couldn't put the book down! The Never List -> check the book here!
And the Circle of wives tells the story about a plastic surgent that was murderd in a hotel. The detectiv on his case discovers that he had 3 wives and had a girlfriend! Non of the wives knew about the other! The story was really adictive and i read the book in 3 days! A Circle of Wives -> Chech the book here!
I did enjoy "The never list" a bit more but "The circle of wives" was just as amazing!
I really recommend both of these books!
Also , if you read any of the 2 books mentiond abowe , tell me what u thought about them :)

And

Hi Uros. Thank you! I am looking forward to reading it. Someone else just recommended two of his other books. I placed a hold on these (they are both available in one volume) at my local library and I am next in line. Looks like I will be on a Harlan Coben binge.
I'm reading Satan Came to Eden: A Survivor's Account of the "Galapagos Affair", which along with Floreana, by Margret Wittmer, contains one of the most bizarre true crime stories ever. I saw a documentary about it and was just blown away.
