It was really good!! I need to read more of her stuff because that series was good.
I just finished Surprise Me (3*) and up next is The Night Circus or The Demon Within
I finished
.I'm in another reading challenge so, I will be switching between different series this month. Next on my list are

not sure what I was expecting but this wasn't quite it. There was heaps of action, but the logic, sound reasoning and physics quickly went flying out the window, which i personally found to be rather annoying. Also re-read
and it was AWESOME. I did have a review, but it seems GRs deleted it when I made the book 'currently reading' which is annoying as i don't have a backup. But I believe i rated it around 4 stars, which i'll be going again. Thinking 4.5about to start
for the first time!!! so excited!!
Next time Ashleigh mark a different edition as currently reading and it should work. And yay! for Fair Game & lucky you to be reading Dead Heat for the 1st time.
ETA for stupid spelling :(
Sandra wrote: "Next time Ashleigh mark a didn't edition as currently reading and it should work. And yay! for Fair Game & lucky you to be reading Dead Heat for the 1st time."
A didn't edition? as in change the edition? i thought they all originally changed over?
The first time reading something is always the best <3
Listening/reading
and it is ok so far I think the narrator is trying to hard with the accents but hopefully ill get use to it the story its self is interesting but confusing so far

Sorry Ashleigh, I meant different edition.
Just select the link that says Review Different Edition. I do this everytime I re-read a book or otherwise it doesn't count in the GR challenge. It also means you don't lose any information from your earlier read.

Thanks Sandra, I'll definitely be using this in the future!!
Total pain that I lost my review, I enjoy seeing the difference between then and now... I always have urges to fix them (sometimes they can be pretty atrocious! lol) but then I wouldn't have anything to compare with.
DNF
at 9 pages! Re-read
and decided to drop a star from my original rating (which was 4) cause I found Charlie irritating. finished listening to
it was weird but enjoyable - 3 stars.Started
and really enjoying it, its super creepy and gross. Which is why I've only been read a chapter here and there, and also started listening to
which I've really been enjoying - though I imagine based on the wording, if I had read this instead of listening I would have pictured the main character completely different.
So I ended up DNFing
about midway through, it was making me feel queasy and I kept avoiding it, I was super keen to see the bad guys get caught, but not enough to read the rest. Plus I have a giant pile of books from the library I need to get through anyways.Still listening to
and really enjoying it. I believe I'm about midway through atm (they're at a 60's ghost cafe). Also started
nothing like I expected at all, and I'm loving every moment of it!! I did find the second chapter to be very confusing but after I understood the paranormal element I devoured the book - ended up staying up till 3 am! then I forced myself to put the book down. Looking forward to reading the last half!!
Stayed up till almost 3am finishing
. What a great book!! unsure what I'll be rating the book somewhere around 4-5 stars I imagine.

I like the bases of the book so far (magic and paranormal have torn through the veil separating the two worlds which exploded into a massive war) and I love where the book is set - New Orleans. But I'm a little iffy on the characters, I'm only a few pages in so I hope they'll grow on me.

the end. I really like her Chicagoland Vampire series.
Lee wrote: "I was looking at tthis book the other day and wondering what it was like, let me know what ..."Will do!
I really enjoyed her other series as well, though I think I only made it to about book 6, I'll have to pick it back up again one day.
The new Harry Potter script book comes out today. That's what I'll be reading when I get time to read.
KritikaB wrote: "I have been reading Mercy Thompson series this past week.Already finished

[bookcover:Night Broken|1..."Wow, you've been powering through the Mercy series!! Glad you're enjoying it :D
Finished
.I ended up rating both 3 stars for different reasons. Rot and Ruin was good, well written, i like the story, and for the most part the characters (though I took a while to warm up to Benny) I liked that even though Benny was the MC he was by far the most badass or interesting. It's nice to see all the action from an out side point of view. So why only 3 stars? simple, the narrator could have done a better job. I found his emphasis on the characters emotions and actions to be bland and boring. Otherwise it was enjoyable to listen to - but I will be reading the next book instead.
The Veil had all the potential. Great set up, wonderful location, fascinating premise, but the characters to me were very.....been there, done that. I should have loved them, but they felt like the same cut out copies of a billion other characters. It was close, like i said i should have like them, but there was just something missing that held them back from being excellent characters that i could love. which is unfortunate. Also there was all this crazy going on at the end, then they drop this personal bomb on our heads which i thought was ridiculous, maybe should have waited for the next book? or done it earlier? either way it completely pulled me out of the story, a very wtf moment. still an enjoyable enough read, don't think I'll be reading The Sight though.
Iim reading
and I like it but it is very slow I have had to kinda wake myself up a few times because I zoned out during a really long description, but because of the long description the world and characters are very detailed bordering on telling not showing.
finished
.Storm Glass was a bit disappointing compared to the main series, the characters were just blah. But I liked it enough to try and the next and hope for better things.
Six of Crows was amazing! I was a little apprehensive because I'm not the biggest fan of Leigh's other series, The Grisha. But I absolutely love how she wrote this one, the characters were brilliant, the politics corrupt and evil, just the way I like them and the world filled with all kinds of beliefs, cultures and other interesting tidbits. Really a fantastic start to a new series, can't wait to get my mitts on book 2!!
Starting
, I didn't re-read the blurb before I dumped myself into this world and found myself utterly confused. But about 15 pages in and I think I'm starting to get it......
Been ages since my last update so I have a fewRe-Read:
All of them were brilliant as the first time I read them. Also read:
I'll admit to not being as happy with the short stories, Daemon mainly focused on ass and legs.
I wasn't the books biggest fan, but it was fun reading about my current place of residence.
was really good, enjoyed reading from different perspectives.
LOVED!!!
Both were wonderful, and Night Broken wasn't as cringy as i had been expecting based off reviews which was nice.Listened to:
was brilliant. Author and Narrator did a fantastic job!DNF:
painfully choppy and awkward dialog.
