Initial Thoughts: This is a hard one for me to rate. As a series finale, I found the epic battle lacking. It was just too easy to get rid of Big Bad (and I'll refer to him as such to avoid spoiling). In fact, Big Bad was my absolute favorite - so full of himself and his observations about his situation made me laugh out loud. I did enjoy the featured couple Kamen and Genvieve who made quite the pair. Those two sizzled. For fans of the series - all the Nightwalkers appear in this book as they bat ...more

Finally the book that wraps up this series and what an amazing journey it has been. From the very first book Jacob Ms Frank has captured my imagination with ideas and prose that are a sheer delight to read. This conclusion pulls in so many elements with much loved characters from previous books coming together to battle the evil God Apep. For so long the twelve Nightwalker nations have been under a powerful curse and completely at odds with each other but the only hope they have of defeating Ape ...more

Bodywalker Kamen will do anything to atone for mistakenly releasing the God Apep and putting all Nightwalkers in grave danger. The God will soon be at full strength and to stop him, Kamen hopes to win the allegiance of the Wraiths, a despised faction of Nightwalkers that use their deathtouch anyway they see fit. Kamen knows it will be an uphill battle but he never expected to find Viève. A half-breed Wraith, Viève wants to help despite being hated and told by her own kind she has nothing to offe ...more

5 certainty stars for Nightwalker. I remember the first time I picked up a book by Jacquelyn Frank and it was the first book in this series, Jacob. I love how fabulous and gifted of a writer Frank is because she can see an overall bigger picture while carving out smaller worlds within that picture but still pulling in the bigger picture. I love that everything comes together in this book and yet Kamen and Genevieve are the center of the story. I'm sad to see the series end but what a great way t ...more

5 Super Paranormal Stars!

I've made no secret of loving Jacquelyn Frank. Her very first Nightwalker book, Jacob, is what drew me into the Paranormal genre and every successor from there in this series is what kept me staying.

This being the Epic Conclusion to her Nightwalker universe. And what better way to finish off than to bring all of the characters together. Oh not on their own, but through the convincing of the stiffest upper lip I've read about in a long while, Kamen.

First I have to say it took me way to long to finish this one because when I got confused I had to find answers. So that meant heading back to the beginning of the series. I had read the book just before this one and was lost in that one also. So this time around I made sure that I went all the way back and got the whole story. Don't get me wrong each book has a different couple to love but the overall plot line draws you in and makes you want to understand it all for all the angles presented.

In this fifth book of The World of Nightwalkers, Ms. Frank brings back all the previous characters of the series in this final saga. I highly recommend you to read the previous books in order to fully grasp and understand the characters and their motivations. With that being said, Ms. Frank creates a realm where the Nightwalkers must work together to save themselves and the human race. This final book was a perfect conclusion where romanc

When Kamen approaches the wrath compound in an attempt to form a treaty, he meets Genevieve. Genevieve is a ½ wrath, ½ human. Wrath are the most dreaded of all the Nightwalkers. But even Genevieve's own people find her to be lesser which gives her a very unique perspective to Kamen's plea.

It has all comes down to this...Genevieve and Kamen must bring all the Nightwalker clans together or face certain destruction from Apep.

Frank does a wonderful job bringing all the participants back for this big

To atone for a grievous error, the Bodywalker, Kamen has to convince other nations of the Nightwalkers to set aside their differences and band together and no tribe presents a greater challenge than the Wraiths in this thrilling conclusion to the Nightwalkers saga. Wow, what an awesome conclusion! A bit of a disappointing end to a decent series. Kamen is sent to try to bring the remaining NightWalker factions to the fold to help battle the evil Apep. He meets half-wraith Vieve; and they are boinking within 24 hours. Almost all the NW's are at the compound, so there is a lot of catchup from all the NightWalker series. They plan for battle, and do a heck of a lot of talking; then there is a short battle, and *poof* it's all over.

Much as I've enjoyed most of these books/series over the years

Easy read despite it’s weighty tone, what with the war and all. A bit too character heavy, it definitely did not focus on the leads.

Nice intro to a few other nightwalker species and their skills. Lovely descriptions of settings and architecture as usual. But this was more of a base touching with all prior characters (#OvercrowdedAvengersMovieStyle).

Basically an opportunity to wrap up loose ends with the Big Bad. A bit too easy of a wrap up in the end, as is happens. The characters in the book p

This is the final book of Nightwalker/World of Nightwalker series might have been about bringing both worlds of Nightwalkers together and destroying the god, Apep, before he enslaves the human race, but I enjoyed the enjoyed the romance between the most hated Bodywalker and the half-wraith, Vieve, the most.

In this cataclismic ending of the the Nightwalker and World of the Nightwalker series, I came to love the enemy. Kamenati was the second in command to Odjit of the Templer Bodywalkers for cent

I got the impression that even though this was book #5, I did not have to read it in order, but maybe I should have. SO MANY characters were introduced in the first two chapters that I forgot who the MCs were. I needed a diagram to remember who had what role, what language which person spoke, where each person came from, and who they were with. TOO much. This was not for me. Too many things to remember. I felt as if there would be a test in the end.

The narrator also read too fast as if she

Jacquelyn Frank was one of my firsts. A true love and an instant buy, her and I have seen some rocky times through some rough books lately and, unfortunately, Nightwalker was no different.

The final book in the Nightwalker series that I have loved and followed religiously, I could not get my footing while reading it. I made sure to not start any other series so as to give the book and author the respect they deserve but I was still left with a perplexing and unwelcome feeling of overall confusion
I'm jumping into this World of Nightwalkers series at the very end instead of starting from the beginning so I'm going to try very hard to not let my lack of knowledge influence my review. However, it's kind of difficult because for the most part I felt lost trying to follow along. Taking in the story as a whole was too confusing There are so many characters and trying to keep them straight in my mind was difficult. I ended up just shutting down and trying to forget they had a past history, abso ...more

I made a tactical error. I actucally belived it when the describtion said it could be read as a stand-alone. Well, in theory it really could be taken as a stand-alone but lots of things didn't make sense and for someone who doesn't know a single information about this universe it's confusing as hell. Way too many names and different breeds.

While they were a LOT of points of view the whole book was focused mostly on Kamen and Vieve.

Kamen somehow brought the imp god Apep back into the

I have not read any of the other Nightwalker books, so I had to read and absorb the first few chapters to get a gist of the characters. But once I got past understanding the paranormal abilities and histories of each of the characters, I really got dragged into the story.

The story revolves around Kamen, a Nightwalker trying very hard to redeem his past. The only solution is to unite all the Nightwalker groups to overpower the imp god who is about to cause havoc on the earth.

The story is paranor

What a beautiful cover. I find Jacquelyn Frank to be a wonderful story teller and enjoyed her story arc for the series. Such fantastic descriptions. I have greatly enjoyed the other novels in the series, and this was nice to finally see the dramatic grand finale. The first two chapters had a lot of info dumping, which made for some rough going. But once through that, the story flew. Kamen and Gevieve are one hot couple. It was also great to see many of the characters from previous books again.

This series was able to unify many amazing characters from different books written by Frank. I loved that. I was really excited with the idea of 6 new & unknown nightwalker species and getting to know them all. Although the original 6 will always be my absolute favorite. While I enjoyed this new series, it felt a bit lacking next to the original Nightwalkers series.

I was glad to read Kamen's story. I knew it would be hard for him to redeem himself, but I think he did a great job. I loved how he

The Nightwalker world spans multiple series and with Kamen's story it all comes to an end. I admit to being a bit disappointed and although JF does a great job bringing Kamen from a bad guy to a good guy there were just some major missing components for me.

I found that although the sex sizzle was there between the H/h I didn't feel any other depth of connection. Our heroine just seemed too young, too naive...and just not right for him, all in all a bit awkward. The great epic battle was a "lunc

Nightwalker, 5th book of The World of Nightwalker, is an amazing read. I was a bit confused on the first few chapters of the book, but as the story goes, I got the hang of it. The characters from the other books in the series are present, but this book focuses on Kamen's story. In this book, I learn a lot of things about this guy and fell in love with him.. =)
Anyway, the story is good. With all the things that will happen, I was intrigued and kept me in a suspense mood. Loved it!

Pros: I enjoyed the romance between the hero and heroine. There were plenty of hot love scenes, and this was a good story of redemption. I've been looking forward to the grand finale—the final meeting of all the Nightwalker nations—for some time.

Cons: Too much telling and not enough showing. Half the Nightwalker races couldn't see the other half, but when they finally unite, nobody seems impressed or surprised by the other side. They accept each other with almost a blasé attitude. The reader is
Nightwalker is 3rd in the series and is the final battle with Apep. Kamen still hasn’t gotten the forgiveness or respect from the other nightwalkers. But he’s still doing everything he can to bring the factions together to stop the evil god. Vieve is a halfbreed Wraith who has been neglected most of her life. She’s struggled to fit in and when he shows up on the doorstep of her cell she knows she’s suppose to kill him but she doesn’t. Through it all they end up on a crazy journey to bring togeth ...more

I sad to see this series end. I became invested with the first Nightwalkers book, moving on to the Shadowdwellers and then finally The World of Nightwalkers. Now I am at a bit of a loss because there are no more stories about the characters I have come to enjoy. Of the entire Nightwalkers universe, two characters stood out for me, Ahnvil from Forged and Kamen from Nightwalker. Kamen’s anguish over what he did and his determination to make things right spoke volumes about the power of forgiveness ...more
