With my usual Sunday night insomnia I finished the Vanishing Thief by Kate Parker -- started it yesterday morning I think. It's a good start for the series -- kind of choppy in the beginning but once the story got going it was pretty good.

Finished Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. I gave it *** stars. I listened to it as that is what the library had available so I could finish in time for my book club. The narrator was very good at drawing me in, but the book took a weird turn at the end that didn't seem to fit the theme of the book as a whole. Worth the read, but I am glad it's over.

This may not be the place to post this, but how do you handle recording books that end up being too awful to finish. I just had back to back DNF books. I usually read at least 40 percent of a book before I bail and between them they ended up being a book's worth of reading but I feel like a cheat for counting them if I don't finish. Any suggestions?

Personally, I would record it, even if I DNF and make sure to write a review for it. I think all and all it balances out with boxsets that you may get that has more than one book in it or books that are longer than average.

I'm sorry I missed this!! I would say use your own judgment. We don't have hard and fast rules to record it here. I've seen people record their DNFs. It's hard to read a big portion of a book and then not get to record it. LOL
