I'm actually up to 9 books this year so far -- but forget to post the earlier ones. This one was FANTASTIC. Wendy Webb is one of those authors I wish wrote a little faster because her books are SOOOOOO good. Modern gothic with a mystery, romance, hints of the paranormal and just plain old good writing.

You guys are doing an amazing job already this year! I'm swamped and am hoping to get some reading time in this weekend when life calms down just a little.

I have read 6 of 60 so far:

- Loved it. I came for the serial killer and ended up mesmerized by the story of the people who built the fair

great background on the early 1800's history. Beautifully written

- Convoluted writing style made it a tedious read but this is a book late in the Campion series and I may give her another go with an earlier book

- The opposite of tedious. I really need to re-read everything P.D. James ever wrote.

and - Snarky, smart and fast paced. The unanswered threads of Drusilla Thorne's mysterious backstory will keep me coming back for more. I am reading now.
