Zaz | 2969 comments Pyewacket, with the link you should arrive on the map, no need to be logged on Google. If you can usually access Google Maps, you shouldn't have a problem, maybe try with another internet browser.

I Am Legend

Los Angeles, US

Let me know if you're still having difficulty Pyewacket. You should be able to see it here.

Pye (helenduvall) | 23 comments Hi Emm, no I cannot see the map. "We are sorry, but you do not have access to this service." I am sure it has something to do with my google account which is managed by the service provider cpa.com. No big deal - thank you very much for your efforts.

message 754: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Perhaps if you're signed out of that Google account you could view it?

It doesn't give a specific city but we can use:
Old Forge, New York

message 760: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Is that really where it's set, Laura? Or is that just where you want to map it? Curious for my personal map.

Emm, I guess Gaiman thanked Audrey Niffenegger in the Afterward for introducing to him to that cemetery as a source of his inspiration. So I figured it was appropriate for the marker :)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Map is being updated now.

Adding for myself ...

Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy by L.A. Meyer

London, England ... and the wide open sea, but I'll stick with London.

V for Vendetta by Alan Moore

Mostly London too, I'd say. A lot of things get blown up there so I'm going with that.

I'll also add myself to Laura's post for The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

message 769: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Okay, everything through message #770 is added.

I am not sure I ever mentioned it (although you can all see for yourselves) that we have read every continent! :D This is largely due to Adam reading a book set in Antarctica. :D

It seems the U.S. and the U.K. are popular destinations. As far as the U.S. is concerned, South Dakota appears to be the only state we've missed to date.

Carrie by Stephen King

message 794: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3266 comments The Book of Negroes - There are quite a few settings for this one. I'd say the main ones are: Bayo, West Africa (Aminata's hometown), South Carolina (her first home as a slave), and Birchtown, Nova Scotia. There are also quite important parts of the story that take place in Sierra Leone and London, England, but I'm not sure if those would be classified as primary or secondary. I'd say if anything London is primary, and Sierra Leone secondary.

The Thirteenth Tale - England. I haven't found anything more specific yet.
