Pauline C | 68 comments Oops sorry .. I'm from the UK and just knew it was Boise .. Kinda assumed it was in Colorado as the other road trip locations were in that state .. My geographical knowledge of the US is hazy sadly, whereas I can often chase down UK locations to individual post codes (or zip codes as I believe you call them)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Time to update the ol' reading map. I'm working on it now, guys. I have quite a few to add this time so I'm going to post them here to make it easier for me to reference later.

This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
PL: Opportunity, Alabama.

This isn't a real place so I'm going to stick it in Opp, Alabama.

The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith
Denmark St, London, England, UK.

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
PL: Neverland
SL: London, England, UK

What Lies Between Us by Nayomi Munaweera
PL: Kandy, Sri Lanka
SL: Fremont, CA, USA
SL: San Francisco, CA, USA
SL: Lake Tahoe, CA, USA

I can't remember if I added myself to The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith either.

message 571: by Stacey (new)

Stacey D. | 1908 comments Hi Emm,

You can add me to The Cuckoo's Calling as well.

It's looking great!

message 572: by Michelle (last edited May 10, 2016 09:25PM) (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Mmkay, scratch that. For whatever reason this thing always craps out for me when I'm trying to update it from work.

Added:
Stacey, Kelly, and Amy's through message 556. I will try this again a little later.

Amy - I didn't add First Love, First Lie to the map because I couldn't find any info on the setting. Sorry. For Tuck Everlasting, the author said Treegap is based on a real setting in the Adirondacks. I threw it up there. For all my research, I couldn't find anything for Fairham Island for The Secret Sister (like what it might've been based on). The author was born in Utah and I don't see any author interviews citing inspiration. :x I just had to pick a place.

message 573: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (taylaur) Catch-22 - Pianosa

message 574: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments Okay... got to add some more. I added more of Amy's. I also got Babitix, Sarah, Kelly, Stacey, Adam, Debra and my own.

Amy - You're really making me work today! ;)

I moved The Handmaid's Tale. For Season's Reapings ... Limbo City? I typed it into the map and I only found a Limbo City in Mexico. Is that a real place? Fantasy? Let me know where to put it and I will add it. What-the-Dickens: The Story of a Rogue Tooth Fairy I put in New Orleans because... obviously. I'm sorry, I didn't include The Dead Repent: A Zombie's Story. If it doesn't have a location I can't really map it. :x

Babitix - It says that the fictional place in A Pocket Full of Rye is based on an affluent golfing suburb of London. I picked one such suburb and used that.

Sarah - Another fictional Agatha Christie town that is supposed to be a seaside town in Wales. Again, I picked one.

Stacey - I went with Hidden Springs, CA. It seemed pretty rural and it was outside of L.A.

I think Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Wyoming are the only U.S. States that no one has read to. Also, it seems Agatha Christie is very popular this year.

message 575: by Stacey (new)

Stacey D. | 1908 comments Thanks, Emm. Sounds perfect!

Also, on the Brooklyn location for In Other Words, I checked this and it should be Ft. Greene, Brooklyn. (Brooklyn is a mighty large borough!)

message 576: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) Emm wrote: "Amy - You're really making me work today! ;)

Whatever you could do with that long list is fine with me. Limbo City is fictional, it is actaully Limbo (that whole space between heaven and hell thing). I can't wait to see how you will map that! :-)

message 577: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (girlvsbook) | 1173 comments I'll just have to put that in the fantasy cluster! :D
