I have a small book that I have been wanting to read, but it did not meet the criteria for page count for most of my challenges. I will read The Shawl here.

My copy of Kafka's The Metamorphosis is 98 pages.

Vonnegut's The Big Trip Up Yonder, which is listed on Goodreads as 22 pages. But I might also read We Should All Be Feminists, which is 49.

Signs Preceding the End of the World is technically under 100 pages. I have this book on my shelves, and while the page count is over 100, the story starts on page 11 and ends on page 107 or 108 I think. The rest of the pages are acknowledgements/translator's note etc. So I'll count that book towards this.

The Little Prince is one of the few books I reread ever since reading it in high school French (these days, I read it in English). I hope you enjoy it.

For this challenge, I will read The Art of War or revisit The Prince, which I didn't really read in college.

Kathryn, I am reading that book for another group this time. I was inspired by reading John Adams this year. Very interesting times.

I found myself thinking about the wars in Afghanistan and Iran and America's actions in those countries while reading this. Seems very pertinent even though it was written about a thousand years ago.

If I have time I'd like to also read Animal Farm and revisit The Yellow Wallpaper and Other Stories.

I can't remember whether I've ever read The Elements of Style from beginning to end, so I plan to do that this year. There are plenty of other choices, though, and because they are so short I may end up reading several.

We Should All Be Feminists is EXCELLENT, I highly recommend it.

I WAS going to read How the Marquis Got His Coat Back, but I completed this task by accident yesterday; my in-laws have been to Bath for New Year and they bought me a present in the Jane Austen Centre: The History Of England. I read it as soon as they gave it to me so that's that!

I just read for my book under 100 pages Late in the Day, a new volume of poetry by Ursula LeGuin. The poems were delightful, and there are also two essays in back, one which is a very perceptive explanation of form in poetry and why to use it. Loved it, great start to my 2016 challenge!

I just re-read "Animal Farm" to complete this task. There are appendices and an introduction, but the story in itself totals to 93 pages.

I am going with "The Grownup" by Gillian Flynn for this - it is 80 pages long.

I read "Learn How to Crochet Quick and Easy" by Amy Wright. It was 78 pages, but I am also planning on reading "We Should All Be Feminist" later on in the month. The book with incredible visuals provided step by step instructions on many basic and more advanced crocheting stitches, gauges, concepts, pattern reading, and even hook holding options. Great for a beginner or as a review source. I gave this book 4.5*****

Would Cruel Crown count for this? It is actually over 100 pages (around 140), but it is made up of two novellas that were originally e-published separately that are under 100 pages. So could I count either Queen Song or Steel Scars?

I just read The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley today - 79 pages! A very interesting foray into the mind of an intellectual on mescalin. If you were born in the 1950s it could also count for Task #8.

I'm a Children's Librarian so I read a lot of books under a hundred pages with the kids. I picked Bird Cat Dog by Lee Nordling for this task because it was the first book I read this year that was under 100 pages. Its a very cool wordless graphic novel for kids that teaches point of view. I highly recommend! I'm using the sequel Fishfishfish for my non-superhero graphic novel.

Done! I read Raven Girl by Audrey Niffenegger. It's 80 pages long and I gave it four stars.
