Although I've rated all of the stories in the series 3 stars, I think I would rate the series 4 stars. Weird, but I like the story as a whole more than the individual novellas. There is another book coming out mid-month which I am looking forward to.
Thanks for this pick.
I'm glad you liked it Susan. Believe it or not I've felt that way, disliked a book but liked enough aspects of it to end up with a better rating.

I have finished my series for this month's challenge... the Dream Series by JJ DiBenedetto. and AMAZING 5 stars for this one.... I had previously read only the first book in the series, and there are 10 plus two related "Between" books. ALL of them are amazing! I'd recommend this series to any of you looking for something nice and gentle with an occasional out there twist. Not all of it is PG rated, like most of the books I read, but the psychological stuff that makes it cross a line or two is well worth the occasional R rating.

Men of Midnight
Book: Midnight Vengeance
Date Finished: 1/7
Rating: 3.5 ★
Comments: I liked this book quite a bit. I wish we would have gotten to know the hero a more though. Since he was so tongue tied around the heroine we didn't get as much development as I wanted. The only other issue I had was that the villain was a complete idiot.
Book: Midnight Promises
Date Finished: 1/8
Rating: 4 ★
Comments: I liked this book the best out of the series. I enjoyed both the H/h and the fact that the hero was actually described as having an "ugly" face. I get tiered of drop dead, 6ft heroes sometimes. A lot of internal dialogue but overall a very enjoyable book.
I'm on the wait list at my library for the last book in the series Midnight Fire and I will read it when I get it.
Karen, I finished up The Rules of Scoundrels!
- I really really enjoyed this one! It was by far my favorite in the series.
-This one was okay. I just didn't really care for Mara. She was not a good person. She may have had reasons for what she did but I don't think she ever really redeemed herself.
- This was a good one too. I liked that Georgiana was so bold. Thanks for the picks!

Thanks Karen!! I came close to catching up with this series, but fell a few books short!
Play-by-Play
One Sweet Ride – 1/6/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰
For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. It’s the first in this series that doesn’t focus on a Reilly so it was kind of strange to be immersed in this world with no crazy Reilly’s! Gray was a great character...not too “perfect” but certainly smoking hot! Evelyn seemed a little high and mighty for me at times. I kind of wanted to bang her head into a wall at times...especially in the last few chapters. I love this series and I hope the remaining books can keep the momentum of this world going without Reilly-focused couplings.
Holiday Games – 1/15/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰
Very sweet, quick holiday story! It was fun catching up with the Reilly family!
Melting the Ice – 1/20/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰
I liked the back and forth between Drew and Carolina. Their shared history made for some interesting sparks. I think a little too much time was spent with each character engrossed in their own work, which took something away from the relationship development. Of course, that could have been the point also!
Straddling the Line – 1/22/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰
I think this is one of the more emotional books in the series. It was a good story, but a little flat. I enjoyed the interactions with other characters from previous books...this book seemed to integrate those characters a bit better than the past few.
Holiday on Ice – 1/26/16 – ✮✮✮✮✰
Another short story in the Play-by-Play world. I liked the chemistry between Trick and Stella, but the story seemed a bit rushed.
I finished my two books. TBH this series was a bit disappointing. At least the last book was the best of the whole bunch.Assigned series: Sci-Regency by J.L. Langley (2, 3)
