Nichole | 1862 comments Perfecto! I've had that on my list forever. Katy kinda got on my nerves in the last book which is one of the reasons I keep putting it off. The other would be those cliffhanger endings, grrrr. So maybe after you read it I'll get that push to finally catch up.

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Lol yeah i ranted a bit in my review for the 3rd one about the cliffhanger, I don't usually do long series books which is why I've never played SS before, but I've really enjoyed this one, and I loves me a bit of Daemon Black lol.

message 153: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1862 comments Yep. Bad Boys, Bad Boys...

Luckily the last book comes out in August so a cliffhanger isn't quite so bad this time around.

Review:

Holy Smokes, Batman! What a ride! So much happens in this book and it starts a sequence of game changing events to come. I'm quickly becoming addicted to this series. Like so many UF it starts slow and here we are at book 3 and KaBlam! the shit has hit the fan.

Without giving too much away or going on for pages of all the stuff going on, I'll try to keep it simple. Gin is one Bad Ass heroine. A retired assassin that can't seem to actually retire. Only this time she's not working for someone else, she's working for herself to keep her family and friends safe. Now, I love a kick-ass heroine but the thing I really like is that she takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I hate it when the H/h seem to always come out unscathed. That's just not realistic to me.

The thing that drove me crazy about the first 2 books seems to be working itself out now. (view spoiler)

She had to make some hard decisions in this book that she wasn't quite ready to face. With the support of her friends and family, she took a stand and now she has a tough road ahead of her. I can't wait to read the next one!

I don't like menage books because it doesn;t feel riight to me. But, by God, I could feel the rightness of Law, Paulo, and Styx. They belonged together. The scenes were emotional and moving. The plot felt right. and they got together and it seems like no one was stinted when the three were together. I liked and recommend this highly.

Well Daemon Black is back *swoon.
After the huge cliffhanger that was Opal we find out what has happened to Katy and how Daemon and the gang try to save her.
There were lots of OMG moments and it was another thrill ride my Miss Armentrout, this is becoming one of my favourite series.

So this is the final book in the Tempest series and it's really hard to write a review without giving any spoilers away. I really liked how things played out and came together in the end! I've grown to love the characters since the first book and I'm kinda sad that I won't be able to read about them anymore! This is a great time-travel series to read!

Review:

After losing his wife, Evan Cerelli is just going through the motions. He's raising his 4 children alone and trying to be the father they need. Lost in his own grief and guilt, he's just a shell of his former self. Former Homicide Detective Matt Haight is drowning himself in alcohol looking for oblivion. Without a career, he feels he has no purpose. A chance meeting at a bar and their lives are forever changed.

A friendship is built from loss, grief and loneliness that is without judgement or expectations. They find solace in each other. This is a wonderful story of two heterosexual men struggling to accept their attraction to another man and everything that goes with it. How it will affect their lives and the lives of those around them. How much they are willing to risk for happiness and love. It was very sad and sweet and I really enjoyed it.

This is one of the first book that Anne McCaffrey's son did solo in Pern. In fact Todd is the only person other than Anne who has been officially allowed to write in the Pern Setting.
This is set about ten years after the plague swept through Pern, Fiona the only survivingchild of the Lord of Fort hold Impresses a queen dragon at a hatching that she is watching. A new plague start that affects fire lizardsand dragons. fiona leads the hatchlings plus a few more experienced riders back in time before the plague to get the young dragons ready to fight the thread which is going to be soon upon the planet. We meet very many characters and as part of her duties Fiona must help with the older dragonriders keeping morale up. Fiona learns quickly at the past time that she like sleeping in a pile much like newborn puppies or kittens. Fiona is brave and loyal and get the weyrlings (riders of the new untrained dragons) trained and ready to fight the new Pass of thread at a time when they are desperately needed.

Real Review

So this was 23 hours of kids beating other kids up and using special powers to do this.
It was an ok read but it could have been condensed into 12!
I will carry on with the rest of the series but I'm not in a huge rush to!
Basically all of the adults disappear and anyone over the age of 15, Sam and his friends try to find out why/how while fighting off the bad guys.
