I'll have to look this one up but I'm either reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas or The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches (Flavia de Luce, #6) by Alan Bradley

Vicci, It's not hard at all as long as you like PNR/UF!

Whoa Suzanne, The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas ! That's ambitious :)

I'm trying to decide between Venom (Elemental Assassin, #3) by Jennifer Estep Midnight Awakening (Midnight Breed, #3) by Lara Adrian and The Forever Song (Blood of Eden, #3) by Julie Kagawa .

Amy ~Lover of Books~ | 143 comments My internet was down for a good part of the day, but I'm still trying to decide on what to read for this week.

A little warning for you that there is a cliffhanger ending, but the 3rd book is going to release this September as of right now.

Review:
Elise Chase is seeking vengeance against the Rogue vampires who took everything from her. Weakened by her own gift and the loss of Breed blood, she's barely hanging on to her sanity. She forms an uneasy alliance with Tegan and they find salvation in each other.

Both Tegan and Elise fought their feelings for each other and tried so hard to keep themselves separate from the blood bond. Ha! I enjoyed this book but I don't think my heart was in it. Just not in the right mood, I guess. There were some new developments that I'm curious about so I'll definitely continue with the series.

In other news, I probably should have changed my book to Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop . I'm listening to it now and it's fan-freaking-tastic! I'm such a fickle reader :)

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

It can’t end like that ?!?!?!?!?!

This little beauty didn’t end on just 1 cliffhanger oh no, it sucked me straight in and ended on 3 of them!

I actually shouted OMG on the bus haha!

Billy Dent is back and in NYC  - “Welcome to the game Jasper ma boy”

All of the gang are back and a couple of new characters, some I liked, some not so much J

Howie is still hilarious, Connie is still mostly very sensible, grandma is still a racist mad woman, and of course Jasper who is still Billy’s son and hears in his head regularly.

If you get the chance to listen to the audio definitely do it, the narration is perfect and Billy Dents accent will make you shudder.

I really can’t go into a lot as it will spoil the surprise but a couple of pointers, if you liked the 1st book you WILL love love LOVE this one but, it has a lot more gore in this one.

This has moved from being a YA book to nearer an adult book with a teenager put in the middle.

There is suspense, surprises and a lot of laughs, read it you will not regret it.

Now there is something about hurt/comfort books especially when the one who hurt you does the comforting. Cheerleader Jace Montgomery was fucked by all star quarterback Colt Michaels in the locker room just before spring break of their senior year of college. Then they fly to Hawaii for spring break they fall in love there. Colt has to see his agent where his father is there and beats Colt up very bad saying no son of his is going to be gay. His father threaten the life of Jace so Colt breaks off all contact to Save Jace's life. 10 years later the story picks up; Jace and Colt are still hot for each other.
Colt, a pro quarterback and superbowl MVP, uses drugs and alcohol just so he can function. His current girlfriend find his stash of pictures and articles of Jace and threaten to expose Colt and ruin Jace who runs the most successful cheerleader training program.
Colt is blackmailed into being engaged to and marrying the drugged out supermodel girlfriend who is in danger of being deported back to Russia because her Visa is about to expire. This event cause Colt to go into rehab. 10 month later on Colt's wedding day, Colt get a spine and leaves his bride at the alter and flies to Hawaii where Jace is on Vacation they get together and are about to really make up when Colt driving Jace's rental car to the grocery store Finds out his the brakes are cut and a white truck is ramming into him. Jace is awakened by two police officers who asks if there is another Jace Montgomery there because his rental vehicle was in an accident and they can't identify the injured person. It is a serious injury and we are brought through the rehab. there is a fair amount of angst and Love.
I loved the book and highly recommend it.

Review: I like this series, but this book was not a mystery novel. She didn't really solve a murder mystery but was wrapped up in the return of her dead mother's body and funeral. I still enjoyed it, but I thought it was odd.

I liked how everything came together in this final book! What I didn't like was how the elders had their own objectives and caused all sorts of trouble. The ending reminded me a little of the Legend series with how things ended sort of, but was also different as well!

Review:

So I thought I would give the audio a try for one of my favorite books. Well, I still love it but the narrator grated on my nerves at times. It was actually well done because it was the voices for the mother and Lydia that made me cringe. Anyways, not the best narration and I may try another one at some point (there are many!) but still a great story.

I haven't read the book for a few years and it's funny the things you pick up from listening to the audio or re-reading that you miss or forget about. Last night I stayed up late and watched the movie (with Kiera Knightley) and found all sorts of things that were wrong, lol. I knew it was different, but having just listened to the book I really picked up on all the little things. Doesn't matter though, I still love that movie best! At some point I think I'll listen to the rest of her books.

I've always loved to read a good mystery now and then! This book had enough of those elements to make it a good mystery book. My interest was held throughout reading this book. I liked how the story unfolded and how the three teenagers saved the day. Overall, this was a very enjoyable read!

Review: I liked this book but the first half of the story was kinda slow. I kept wondering why she was getting so friendly with his family knowing what her mission was. All the characters in the story seemed to be filler, but I did enjoy the last half. I'm interested in seeing how the rest of series develops :)

Rating: 4 stars

Review:
This book is amazing for a debut novel. It read as if written by a more experienced author. The settings were finely detailed, the characters had life and dimension to them, their was complexity to the plot. and then there was the magic in this book a new and multiple systems for magic. Add swords and guns and you have great fantasy. My god he had to have at least five or six subplots going on in this epic novel, the start of a trilogy.

Roger - president of NBR United - (roger_presidentofnbrunited) | 1591 comments Rolled 5 + 4 = 9 so we are on spot 50.

This means you can do the #5 in a series

A stand alone (which can be treated as #1 or #0)
and the alternate is Author: J (For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.)

Bad news Vicci, #1 in a series won't work for this week unless it's under the alternate. Stand alone novels count as 0 or #1, but #1 in a series only works for a 1. Did that make sense?
